Welcome to my heart.

This is my reading of my poem Nothing To Strive For. A poem about your perfection.

I write poetry to make sense of, express, and capture how I feel, in any given experience, as I make my way through this life.

Some of the things I experience in life can be very hard to logically explain, but poetry doesn't, and has never, needed to be logical.

What my poetry means to me may be very different to what it means to you. Such is the beauty of art.

I hope it touches you in the way you need to be touched at this moment.

Who are you trying to become?

Some perfect cardboard cut out of human?

Will that make you worthy?

Will that mean you are deserving of love?

Don't you see?

You are the divine.

You don't need to do anything.

You don't need to become anyone.

You are already perfect in all of your messiness,

In all of your glory.

You are that.

There's nothing to strive for.
