What is the baseline state of our human condition? Whatever that state would be, would not be a state, but the background in which all states of mind appear. This is what we all refer to as simply being alive. This natural, familiar and peaceful condition of being alive is the essence of meditation and it has no limitation. In this exploration, we explore for ourselves how this is so.

Transcript

Welcome to this thought yoga exploration where we go deeply into the fundamental qualities of our experience.

And unify the mind with its essence.

Firstly,

Let's just sit and be aware that there's nothing to be aware of in particular.

There's nothing to do in particular.

Just bring to your attention the lack of a need for anything to happen.

For any event to take place.

Agency.

When we sit like this,

We are acknowledging the now.

That place where all experience takes place.

Whatever is at our immediate experience.

It must take place now.

Just acknowledge that whatever this is,

Our current experience,

It's happening immediately.

It isn't actually going anywhere.

It always seems like it's going somewhere.

But that's only when we forget or overlook the immediate presence that doesn't go anywhere.

Just organization.

This is sooooo calming and wonderful to listen to. I feel like this would be perfect to listen to before going to bed or if you wanted deep relaxation time!!
