Root chakra,

Muladhara,

The key to stability and safety for your pet's well-being.

Understanding our energy flow is crucial for maintaining a healthy relationship with ourselves and our animals.

Welcome animal friends,

My name is Renée and I'm so grateful you are here.

As an animal communicator,

I often notice that our relationships can be muddled or strained when our energy and emotional states are not aligned.

Our animals are sensitive to these shifts as well.

It's also essential for them to align their energy flow to maintain a healthy physical,

Body and emotional balance.

And that's why gaining a better understanding of the chakra system can strengthen the connection between you and your animal.

So let's start by exploring the first chakra.

I'm grateful you're here and I really hope that you gain lots of support and understanding out of this share.

Understanding the root chakra in animals.

Well,

The root chakra is the foundation of your pet's energy center.

It's responsible for their sense of safety,

Security and belonging.

They feel grounded,

Confident and comfortable in their environment when balanced.

Unbalanced,

They may display fear,

Anxiety,

Excessive alertness or difficulties trusting humans or other animals.

So where can you find the root chakra in your pet?

Well,

The root chakra is located at the base of the spine,

Near the tail.

It extends downwards into the legs,

Paws or hooves and a connection to the earth.

You can often sense an animal's grounding through posture or through stance or movement.

I always personally love seeing it with horses when they stand firm in their posture.

But I have to say goats,

They have a good way of stance and connect to the earth and get that strength and support out there as well.

So signs of a healthy root chakra?

Well,

They have a relaxed but alert posture,

A willingness to explore and interact,

To trust their environment and caregivers and a balanced energy.

So they're neither hyperactive nor lethargic.

It's always good to see.

So,

You know,

It's when you walk in and your dog is an extra stretch and notice that you're there.

But,

You know,

Snooze a little bit longer and then comes up.

And,

You know,

It's just that ease in the flow when an animal approach you.

So the signs of an imbalanced root chakra?

Well,

This is the skittiness or jumpiness that you see.

Aggression or fearful behavior.

Hiding or excessive clinginess.

Pacing,

Trembling,

Difficulty settling,

Reluctant to go outside or to engage into play.

I remember this well when our beautiful dog Bella came to us.

We were her third family to rescue her,

In a way to say.

And she wasn't sure about us.

And she made it very clear by always being in another room that we were in.

And we looked at it and thought,

Like,

How can we help this beautiful animal?

And for Bella,

What worked was taking her out for walks.

Talking to her,

Giving her space to explore and know that she was in a safe way.

And that she was in a safe environment with us.

So let's dive into that a little bit deeper.

The different ways that you can work with the root chakra in your pet.

So one of them is grounding techniques.

You can use energy healing techniques or Reiki.

But I think for most of us,

What we shouldn't forget is the power and energy that we have within ourselves.

And that what we share through touch.

So placing your hands gently at the base of their spine,

On their hips.

Or if it feels more comfortable for you,

On their paws or their hooves.

But those places we always have to be a bit careful.

And then imagine that warm flow.

And I know you know that the root chakra is connected to the color red.

So see that red light flowing through your hands,

Through your body,

Into theirs.

Sending that calm,

Stabilizing energy with them.

And then you can connect with the breath.

Sync your breath with theirs.

And make them a long and slow breath.

At the same time,

It's relaxing you and grounding you.

And it's grounding your pet,

Your animal,

At the same time as well.

It's a really amazing way to bond.

But at the same time,

You're offering this healing energy,

This safety.

And then there is the earth connection.

A natural grounding,

I would say.

So take your pet out for walks,

On grass,

On soil,

In sand.

And this way,

The earth energy will help you stabilize its root chakra.

There is this automatic pull like magnets that is supporting and asking for the roots to go into the ground.

You can encourage them to dig,

To roll,

To lie on the ground.

Especially when they're stressed.

And then you take time and you have some quiet time in a natural setting.

And allow them to explore independently.

I always see it's a very beautiful way for horses.

When you see them,

They can put their hooves in the ground and they kind of dig for a little bit.

And then they roll.

And when they do that,

They know they're safe.

And they can ground them.

They're realigning their spine and they're connecting with everything.

And then they come up.

And then they calm and they shake off the sand most of the time.

Well,

Of course,

It also helps when they have a good itch.

But then there is that time that you can relax.

And they're eating the grass and you're standing there listening to the birds.

You get that breathing connection again.

And then the two of you get really grounded in that space.

So you feel safe.

Well,

Another way to really help the root chakra is your daily routine.

And the structure of this.

It's an emotional stability.

So the animals for the root chakra is big on the weaker side or it's not strong.

They really thrive on predictability and establishing and consistent feeding,

Walking and resting schedule.

They love it.

And then in that schedule,

If you're offering them the rest,

It's really important to give them a safe space.

A cozy bed or a den-like crate or a peaceful corner that they can retreat in.

That's theirs.

No one is going to get into that space.

And then your calm,

Confident energy reassures them that there are no sudden changes in the routine or the environment.

I remember when my children were young and we had a beautiful Jack Russell,

Jackie,

In our lives.

And she was okay with the kids to a certain point.

And then she would go into her beautiful crate,

Which was always open.

But she loved it when she could really dig herself into space.

And that was her place.

And we all knew that was hers.

No one was going in.

And she created a routine with that.

At certain times of the day,

She was in there and we let her be.

And for her,

It was really important to know when food would be available and when our walks was.

And gosh,

Could she read the clock.

She would always remind me,

Like,

Oh,

It's time.

So that brings me to the last suggestion that you can do to really ground your animal in their root chakra.

And that is sound and affirmation.

So when you work with affirmation,

Let's start there,

It's really important that you kind of lower your voice.

That you connect with that lower tone of your voice.

Because it's a calming and it's already grounding.

And then you can use affirmations like,

You know,

You're safe here.

You are protected and you belong.

And play,

You know,

Work with that over and over and really give them that space.

Then,

Of course,

There is sound healing,

Which I love personally as well.

Those lower frequency sounds,

Drumming and Tibetan bowls or just the soft nature sounds.

And then,

Of course,

You have the universal mantras.

It's good for us to ground ourselves in,

But it's also really good for our animals.

You know,

That gentle hum to sing or the sounds that you make.

You can use the beautiful mantras like om.

But also the mantras that animals give us.

You can work with that purr of the cat or the bzzz that the bees are offering us.

And they're all very calming and soothing.

So the profound benefits of a root chakra healing for your pet and yourself.

Is,

Of course,

That this is offering you less anxiety or less base-feared reaction.

A stronger trust between you and your animal,

You and your pet.

Improved digestion and physical health and a calmer,

More balanced temperament.

For you,

An evening is a more deeper,

More profound bond with your pet.

Feeling more centered and grounded into your life as well.

The ability to regulate your own stress through mindfulness with your pet.

You know,

Make that alliance together.

And a peaceful home environment where balanced energy flows.

By coming home rooted in,

By supporting your pet's root chakra,

You're helping them feel safe.

And you're creating that harmonious connection between the two of you and your energy fields.

Well,

I hope this was really helpful for you.

And thank you so much for being here.

As always,

I'm grateful to be spending time together.

Exploring the root chakra offers you a new,

Deeper relationship with your animal as well.

And I would love to hear,

What are your thoughts?

Do you have some experience?

Please share some of the experience that are happening between you and your pet.

What works for you or what didn't work.

Leave them in the comments,

I would love to hear.

And if I may,

To invite you to play around with the root chakra healing meditation that is also here.

You can listen to it and have even a deeper moment with your animal.

I will guide you through certain steps,

How you can connect and how you can receive messages.

What to do,

What's next steps.

And I would love to hear your experience there as well,

Of course.

For now,

I'm sending you lots of blessings,

Lots of love,

Lots of interaction with your pet,

With your animal.

That brings you full days of full joy.

And let it grow deeper.

As always,

I look forward to our next connection.

And for now,

Namaste.

This session helped me to recognize certain behaviors in Henry that show me when his root chakra is out of balance. I love the suggestions for helping him to rebalance and I’m already seeing so much change in him by following the suggestions. I love the conversational feel of this session! Thank you Renée and Bella and Jackie for all of the wisdom❤️😊
