We live in a world filled with constant movement and noise.

Sometimes without realizing it,

We absorb energy that isn't ours,

Leaving us feeling tired,

Anxious,

Or unbalanced.

When we aren't grounded,

We can easily become overwhelmed,

Scattered,

Or emotionally reactive.

And when we aren't protected,

We can feel drained.

By the end of this meditation,

You'll feel more present,

Centered,

And secure in your own energy.

You will have a renewed sense of inner strength and clarity,

And a protective shield that you can return to at any time.

This practice will guide you through two powerful techniques.

One,

Grounding.

Grounding is to anchor your energy into the earth,

So you feel stable,

Strong,

And unshakable.

And two,

Protection.

Protection is to create a safe energetic boundary that allows you to stay open to love and positivity,

While filtering out stress,

Negativity,

And unwanted influence.

Now begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either seated with your feet on the floor or lying down.

Close your eyes and take a slow,

Deep breath in,

And gently exhale.

Let your shoulders soften.

Let your body settle.

Allow your breath to become steady and calm.

This is your time to come back to yourself.

Your time to let go of noise,

The rush,

And the distractions of the world,

And to feel safe,

Steady,

And fully supported in your own energy.

Let's begin the grounding.

Bring your energy to the base of your spine and the soles of your feet.

From these points,

Imagine roots beginning to grow,

Thick,

Strong,

And alive.

With each breath,

These roots extend downward,

Through the floor,

Through the soil,

Through the layers of rock and mineral.

They travel deep into the earth,

Further and further,

Until they quickly reach the core of the earth.

Here,

Imagine a warm,

Glowing,

Golden light.

This is the energy of the earth,

Steady,

Nurturing,

And endlessly growing.

Feel your roots connect to this golden core.

Sense the strength and stability it offers.

With each inhale,

Draw this nourishing earth energy up through your roots,

Into your legs,

Your hips,

Your torso.

All the way to the crown of your head.

And with each exhale,

Release any heaviness,

Stress,

Or scattered thoughts down your roots,

Letting the earth absorb them.

And breathe out.

With each inhale,

Continue to draw up nourishing energy from the earth,

Up through your roots,

Into your body,

All the way up to the top of your head,

Which is the crown,

All the way up.

And then exhale out any heaviness or stress.

Breathe in,

And breathe out.

And breathe out.

Root yourself firmly here.

Allow yourself to become anchored.

Feel how unshakable you are when you are rooted here.

You remain steady,

Connected to something greater than yourself.

Now deepen that grounding by noticing your connection to the present moment.

Feel your body.

Hear the sounds around you.

Sense the air on your skin.

This is your anchor.

Feel yourself fully here in this present moment.

Take a few deep breaths in silence,

Simply enjoying the steady connection to the earth.

And remember,

As you breathe in,

Pull up groundedness,

Nurturingness,

Loving energy from the earth all through your body.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any stress,

Anxiety,

Or any resistance that you're holding on to.

From this grounded place,

We'll now create your protection.

Bring your focus to the center of your chest,

Your heart space.

Imagine a warm,

Radiant light glowing here.

This is your life force,

Your love,

Your connection.

Your love,

Your spirit,

Your truth.

With each breath,

Let this light expand outward,

Filling your entire body.

Feel it moving into your arms,

Your legs,

Your head,

And beyond your skin,

Until it surrounds you completely.

This light forms a protective bubble or shield,

Soft,

Beautiful,

And shimmering.

Its color is whatever feels most protective and empowering to you.

Maybe a pure,

Bright white,

A deep,

Calming blue,

Golden sunlight glow,

Or even a vibrant,

Multicolored shimmer.

This shield is like a living filter.

It allows love,

Kindness,

And positivity to flow in and out freely,

While blocking negativity,

Stress,

Or unwanted influence.

Feel how safe it is within this light.

Feel how supported you are.

There is nothing that can disturb your peace.

As you breathe,

Imagine this shield growing stronger and brighter.

It pulses gently in rhythm with your breath.

It moves with you wherever you go.

You can call upon this shield at any time,

Before entering a busy space,

During a difficult conversation,

Or any time you need extra protection.

Say silently to yourself,

I am grounded,

I am protected,

I am safe.

I am grounded,

I am protected,

I am safe.

Your roots connect you deeply to this earth.

Your shield surrounds you with light.

Together,

They create a perfect balance.

You are protected,

You are connected,

You are open,

Yet strong.

Feel this balance now.

Let it become part of you.

This is your practice,

Your inner sanctuary,

Your strength.

As we prepare to close,

Let's anchor this state with a few affirmations,

Which you can repeat silently after me.

I'm deeply rooted in the earth.

I am steady,

Calm,

And peaceful.

No matter what comes my way.

My energy is my own,

And I protect it with love.

I allow only what serves my highest good to enter my space.

I move through the world with confidence and peace.

I can return to this grounded and protected state whenever I choose.

As we draw to a close,

You can choose to continue this meditation on your own,

Or you can bring your awareness back into your room.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Notice the surface beneath you,

And slowly open your eyes when you're ready to do so.
