A grounding meditation for balance.
Sit up in a chair.
Allow your feet to be firmly down in the floor.
Legs like tree trunks grounding deeply into the floor.
If seated cross-legged,
Feel your legs bounded and deeply grounded down into the floor.
Feel your spine lengthened tall out through the top of your head.
Feeling balanced on both sides.
You are now grounded and calm.
And just start to take notice of the voices in your head and to continue to let each thought pass through you.
Do not allow for any reaction or go anywhere with these thoughts.
Let these thoughts come and go.
Come and go.
As you allow these thoughts to flow through your mind,
Notice any feelings that they might ignite.
Allow these thoughts and feelings to flow through your body and out into the ground.
Allow any toxic or fearful thoughts to flow through you and out into the ground.
Asking Mother Earth to recycle them.
Each is quickly passing through you.
No thought sways you.
They come and go.
Come and go.
You are grounded and you are balanced.
And allow your breath.
Take a complete exhale out.
Then you're going to breathe in the feeling of serenity.
Breathe out a commitment of peace.
Breathe in balance.
Breathe out joy.
Breathe in calm.
Breathe out faith.
Now we're going to replace any negative thought with a new affirmation for today's meditation.
I am calm.
I am balanced.
I am joy.
I am calm.
I am balanced.
I am joy.
And continue to repeat this affirmation until you feel completely surrendered into a gentle,
Calm,
Relaxed state.
I am calm.
I am balanced.
I am joy.
And just continue repeating this affirmation.
I will watch the time and I will gently bring you back to your waking life.
I am calm.
I am balanced.
I am joy.
I am joy.
And allow this affirmation to be your music as you sit in the quiet of the room.
I am calm.
I am balanced.
I am joy.
And now just gently start to release your affirmation,
Returning and noticing the room that you're in.
And even notice the calm,
The balanced,
The joy move through you.
Your mind,
Body,
And soul.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes to the room and just bring the calm,
The balance,
And the joy with you throughout your entire day.
