Wild Woodland Winds - White Noise For Sleep, Focus & Calm
by Ryan Garner
Join me in listening to wild woodland winds sweeping through the nearby trees. For this recording, I climbed into a tree and placed the equipment in there. I wanted to get a detailed sound, the sort you wouldn't experience at ground level. I then hit the record button and retreated to take cover in a nearby bush. The bush was extremely large and provided me with protection from the wind. It also transpired that I wasn't alone in there. I was joined by a squirrel who was circling the branches just inches away from my head & occasionally foraging between the fallen leaves for food. I just sat extremely still, making no noise, listening and watching the squirrel. He didn't seem too sure of me initially, but once he realized I was no threat and was just borrowing his shelter he seemed very relaxed around me. I had a great time recording this, particularly because I love animals & I had the opportunity to share that moment with the squirrel as his equal.
