Gratitude.
I thank my God every time I remember you.
In all my prayers for you,
I always pray with joy.
As you begin to settle into a space of gratitude today,
Breathing in to the stillness and the quietness of gratitude.
Whether you're seated or lying down,
Finding a place that invites you,
That gives you permission to go deeper still into the spaces,
Into the recesses of your heart,
Mind and soul that say all is well with my soul.
In this moment,
I give you permission.
I invite you to settle in to a space that takes you deep inside,
Releasing any tension in the muscles of your face,
Beginning to notice your breath.
With your eyes closed,
Either seated or lying down,
Finding that deeper space of stillness.
The space that allows you to breathe through your belly and to melt into the space of acceptance and grace.
Gratitude is an expression of love,
A love that seeks to give and not receive,
To understand without being understood.
Begin to breathe in through the nose for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Pause,
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
You now with this breath,
As you breathe,
Let there be no other intention or purpose than to be thankful for your breath,
Your life source energy,
The spirit of life moving in you through you and all around you.
Breathe.
Together with me,
Inhale,
Pause,
Exhale.
Notice in this moment what you want to hold on to,
To reproduce,
To recreate,
To anchor into and to activate and as you release and exhale,
Notice what you want to surrender,
Soften,
Melt into,
To wipe away,
Wash away and watch it drift away.
As you continue this process of breathing into your body in this moment of gratitude,
Noticing how gratitude reproduces not only to grow but to flourish because it thinks of how it can support and nourish another's journey rather than to seek its own.
I invite you in this moment as you breathe into this spirit of gratitude that expresses itself with a gentle affirmation of knowing gratitude grows.
The more we seek to count our blessings one by one,
The more we create a fertile ground of gratitude growth.
In this moment,
I invite you to acknowledge in your health one thing that you are grateful for.
See it,
Recognize it,
Visualize how that is supporting you right now,
Not what you don't have but all that you do have.
Breathe into gratitude for your health.
Breathe in,
Pause and exhale,
Breathe out.
In your heart,
Your emotional soul center,
Take a moment of gratitude of what is well with your soul,
What is good,
What is that sacred space.
Life is good in this moment.
Your heart is strong,
Your heart beats,
The echo of your heart,
The whispers of your soul.
One thing that you are grateful for in your heart.
Breathe in,
Pause and breathe out.
And in this moment,
Notice what you can find gratitude in your home as you see your home,
Visualize the people in your home,
The relationships,
The real people,
The souls,
The hearts,
The minds and the bodies,
The people moving,
Breathing,
Doing and creating what we call home.
Anchor into that capacity to create love and gratitude in your home in this moment.
Maybe you are the seed that starts the garden of gratitude.
Breathe in,
Pause and breathe out.
And now as we look at our hands,
Take a moment to recognize all that your hands have created in past,
The physical forms,
The relationships,
The intertwined connections,
What you have created,
What you have formed,
What you have transformed with your hands.
As you look at your hands,
Take a moment of gratitude for the past,
For the present and for the things to come.
Breathe in and pause,
Breathe out.
As we continue this journey of gratitude this week,
May you seek to grow gratitude in those moments of resistance,
Rigidness,
Maybe even reacting.
Take a moment to pause and to breathe into the spirit of gratitude that expresses itself with gentle grace.
That which we learn to freely give will flow back in its natural form,
Creating and supporting the circle of life rather than cutting and creating our own line.
In this moment,
See and visualize the ripples on the water,
Maybe a rock thrown into a calm lake,
Maybe the ripples of a creek over a rock,
Maybe the ocean that ebbs and tides and flows and crashes on the shore.
The ripples in the waves,
When we take time to appreciate where we are and what they create,
We activate more of it.
Inhale.
Pause.
Exhale.
