I invite you in this moment to settle into a quiet sacred space for you to close your eyes and feel the support of a chair behind your back or the floor underneath you.
And as you begin to soften the muscles of your face,
Take that deep breath in.
Inhale.
And as you exhale,
Take that audible sigh out.
As God created man,
He breathed life into him.
In this moment,
Feel the breath,
The presence,
The power in the life of God.
Awakening,
Opening,
And creating the space to feel,
To notice,
And to appreciate your life.
And as you exhale,
Notice that release,
That confidence,
And that comfort in knowing that you are seen and that you are felt,
That you are heard,
And that you are understood in this moment.
As you continue to breathe in and out in a steady breath,
Feel the breath in for a count of at least four.
Hold and pause,
Appreciate the pause.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
Continue with that breath in for four,
Pause out for six.
Our meditation today is a Bible verse from Isaiah 30-15.
In repentance and rest is your salvation.
In quietness and trust is your strength,
But you would have none of it.
In repentance and rest is your salvation.
In quietness and trust is your strength,
But you would have none of it.
In repentance and rest is your salvation.
In quietness and trust is your strength,
But you would have none of it.
For a moment,
Taking that word quietness.
This is the ability to keep silent,
To remain calm,
To feel at peace,
To rest assured,
To remain steady,
Quiet.
Rest,
Trust is confidence,
The assurance,
Strength,
Where our power,
Our might,
Our will to achieve.
In this moment,
As you continue to focus in on the ability to pause,
To state whatever it may be that you want to repent of and just rest in.
Breathe that in and as you see yourself from outside of yourself,
Appreciate the ability to come before the Father who knows you,
Who loves you,
Who sees you,
And who welcomes you with arms of grace and love,
Acceptance and forgiveness.
You are here because you want to be.
And in quietness and trust,
As you exchange that place of regret,
Of guilt,
And receive the forgiveness,
The kindness,
And the grace,
There is a quietness and a trust that you receive which becomes your strength.
As you sit here for a moment and feel the sacredness of space,
To see the exchange,
The repentance,
And the rest,
To receive the quietness and the trust which will become your ultimate strength.
As you continue to breathe,
Appreciate the ability to not depend on our own self-reliance even if we are capable,
But we need the confidence that comes from Christ,
That comes from the Spirit,
The divine creator who empowers you with quietness and trust as your strength.
As you continue to breathe in here,
Rather than feeling the push and the strive and the conquering,
But feel the assurance of the rest and the settling,
The stillness and the pause that allows you to rest in your salvation and to know the quietness and trust that gives you strength.
In repentance and rest is your salvation,
In quietness and trust is your strength.
May God bless you and continue to lift you up with wings as eagles that you may soar to the heights and that you may rest in the quiet tenderness of knowing that he is your strength,
Your confidence,
And your salvation.
God bless you.
God bless you.
