Those hot summer days sure were fun.
Days spent skateboarding with my friends under the hot summer sun.
Skateboarding with my friends is a great way to let loose and unwind,
Especially when someone nails a gnarly anchor or 5.
0 grind.
Now that school is about to start,
We have a brand new way for self-expression.
For the first time ever,
The After School Skate Club was about to be in session.
My friends and I proposed the idea for Skate Club and kicked up support.
We even have a coach for our new after school sport.
To be in Skate Club,
There are only three rules that one must adhere.
The first rule of Skate Club is that all members must strive to keep up their grades for the entire school year.
The second rule of Skate Club is you must demonstrate respect and kindness to all students and teachers,
A quality that is certainly one of Skate Club's most redeeming features.
The third rule of Skate Club is to respect the community and keep it clean,
To keep the local environment unsullied and pristine.
Mr.
Gus is our coach,
Of course.
He's the best skateboarder in town,
A most valuable resource.
Mr.
Gus is an easygoing and loving dude.
He's always polite with a positive and optimistic attitude.
Mr.
Gus has a brilliant vision for the Skate Club that will help with the greater community as a whole.
Mr.
Gus sees a skate park filled with quarter,
Half,
And full pipes,
Capsules,
Ledges,
Rails,
And bowls.
A tremendous place for all kids to go,
A safe space for skaters to socialize,
Gain confidence,
And grow.
A skate park for Skate Club would be the equivalent of a court or field for other sports teams.
A skate park would be the arena for Skate Club skaters to live out their most radical dreams.
I am excited to see what the future holds for Skate Club and our ambitious skate park dreams.
With planning and persistence,
The reality of our skate park will be closer than it seems.
I'm stoked that school starts soon and Skate Club is about to take flight.
I'm surely going to dream about sticking steezy tricks and landing bolts tonight.
