Javi the jaguars swim race debut by R.
M.
Bode.
Javi the jaguar loves to swim.
It is his most favorite thing to do.
He is extra excited today because he is about to make his swim race debut.
Javi has prepared for this moment for the last several years.
Swimming in the Amazon River has taught Javi to face and overcome many fears.
Javi the jaguar is mentally focused and physically prepared.
He is confident,
But he is also a bit nervous and scared.
Javi the jaguar got off to an early lead.
He had to be careful to conserve some energy for the strong finish he would need.
Terry the terrapin was gaining speed from behind as Sally the snake and Ernie the eel accidentally became entwined.
Javi was in first place heading into the race's final mile.
He was just barely in front of Otto the otter and Craig the crocodile.
Then from nowhere there was a loud thundering crash.
Henry the hippo pulled out in front with a watery splash.
Javi the jaguar was tiring as the last leg lay ahead.
His body told him to quit,
But he was determined to finish strong in the final mile.
Henry the hippo crossed the finish line first.
Craig the crocodile finished second,
Swimming swiftly with an energetic burst.
Otto the otter finished in third,
Barely beating Javi by the fur on his face.
Javi the jaguar was in third place,
Barely beating Javi by the fur on his face.
Javi the jaguar finished fourth in his first official swim race.
Javi the jaguar had hoped his training would help him finish first in the race,
But he wasn't disappointed.
He was happy to finish in fourth place.
Javi the jaguar loves to swim and he loves to race with his friends.
He enjoys the thrill of competition no matter how the race ends.
Javi the jaguar continues to swim,
But he doesn't get to race.
He still enjoys putting his swimming talents on display.
Thank you for listening to Javi the jaguar's swim race debut.
