Fin,
The Fennec Fox by R.
M.
Bode Fennec foxes are the smallest foxes on earth.
They are born fully furred and blind at birth.
Fennec foxes have adapted to the harsh desert life over many thousands of years.
One of those adapted features is the Fennec Fox's gigantic sized ears.
The Fennec Fox's huge ears help dispel heat during the day.
They also help them hear underneath the sand to find prey.
Fin the Fennec Fox lives in a dry and sandy Saharan desert den.
He is the youngest Fennec Fox in a family of ten.
Fin the Fennec Fox has four stronger sisters and four tougher brothers.
He feels like such a runt compared to the others.
Fin sometimes feels upset.
He doesn't understand why he hasn't grown as big as his family yet.
Fin's mother and father Fennec Fox tell him to patiently wait.
After all,
His sisters and brothers weren't so big right out of the gate.
During the extremely dangerous hot heat of the desert days,
Fin and his family rest in their den to protect from the sun's hot rays.
As soon as the sun goes down,
Fin emerges from his den back above ground.
Fin is starving for food and there is plenty to be found.
Fin and his Fennec Fox family find food from a variety of things.
Some of their snacks have tails,
Eggs,
Leaves or wings.
Fin the Fennec Fox forages for greens,
Veggies and fruits.
He enjoys the earthy taste of grasses,
Leaves and roots.
Fin the Fennec Fox has filled his belly full to the brim.
He sure has had enough to satisfy the hunger inside him.
Now as the sun is coming back up to rise,
Fin and his family of Fennec Foxes head back to their den with supplies.
After keeping up with his family's routine for several days,
Fin the Fennec Fox noticed he started to grow faster and stronger in many ways.
Fin was finally growing like his brothers and sisters in size.
He was finally feeling like an equal in his eyes.
Thank you for listening to Fin the Fennec Fox.
I hope you learned something valuable and new.
May you have the patience and strength to allow for the growth in you.
