Come and find yourself a comfortable place to be,
Whether you're seated or laying on the ground.
Make any adjustments that you need for that to be comfortable,
For you to be able to rest there.
Notice your connection to the ground,
Whether it's through your seat,
Through your spine,
Wherever you are,
Feeling your connection to the earth.
And if you're happy to,
Just place the hands onto the body,
Perhaps one hand on the belly,
One hand on the heart.
And take a couple of moments just to make yourself really comfortable,
To settle,
To bring the awareness to the breath.
Feel the hands on the body.
Allow that tactile connection to hold your awareness,
To draw you into the present moment.
Allow yourself to step inwards,
Away from your uncertainties,
Away from the expectations of others,
The expectations you have of yourself.
Away from things you need to do.
Leave all of that outside of the body.
As you step inside,
Bring your awareness to the breath.
I'd like you to take a deep inhale through the nose,
And exhale through the mouth.
Inhaling,
And exhaling.
Allow your breath just to drop back to its natural rhythm.
But stay with it.
Follow the breath and allow it to draw you inwards,
Ever inwards,
Deep inside of yourself.
All that you need is right here,
In this moment.
Feel the weight of the hands on the body.
Keep following the breath.
Every inhale,
Every whisper of the exhale.
Allow it to lure you in,
Sinking into that place inside of you that is unchanging,
Unaffected by the goings on of the outside world.
Beyond the emotions,
Beyond the changes.
This place is always here.
An anchor,
A place of refuge,
Of safety,
And of love.
Allow yourself to rest here,
In this safe space,
In your heart.
