I get it,
You've only got five minutes,
So let's use them to reground,
Reset,
And help you walk in ready to whatever comes next.
I'm going to guide you through a technique known as box breathing,
Where we'll slowly inhale for a count of four,
Hold for a count of four,
Exhale for a count of four,
And then hold for a count of four.
For now,
Close your eyes.
And clench your jaw.
Soften your shoulders.
And let a full breath out.
Good.
Let's begin together.
Inhale.
Too.
One,
And then hold your breath at the top.
Three,
Two,
One.
Empty the breath.
Two.
One.
Hold.
Two,
One.
You got it.
Inhale.
Breathe slowly through the nose.
And then you hold that breath at the top.
To just like that.
Exhale.
Two,
One and then hold.
3.
Two.
One.
Really nice.
Breathe in.
One pause.
One through the nose,
Breathe out.
Hold.
Relax your shoulders.
Breathe in again.
We're going to keep following this pattern.
We breathe in and then we hold.
One and then we empty out.
And then we hold on empty.
A few more just like this in.
Home.
Hold.
Relax the muscles around your eyes.
Let's do one more round.
Hold.
Out.
And then hold.
And then release that technique.
And allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm.
Allowing control.
To give way to observation.
Observing your breath.
Observing your body.
And noticing.
If something feels even a little different.
Maybe your mind feels clearer.
Maybe your body feels steadier.
Maybe there's simply a little more space between you and whatever was pulling at you before.
And before you step back into the rest of your day,
Remember this.
You do not need to carry the energy of the last moment into the next one.
You get to begin again,
Right here.
Take one fuller breath in.
And a long breath out.
All right,
My friend,
Now go and get the rest of your day.
