Grief revisited me,
Presenting new offerings of awareness and acceptance.
Amidst the sorrows,
There was bittersweetness of deep love and connection.
Grief spoke to my heart,
Reminding me of loss and what I had hastily cast aside.
My loss,
My love,
My feelings.
For in my hurry,
I took to work.
To tending,
Giving,
And carrying on.
Tenderly,
Grief reminded me of my own tender heart,
And the sorrows buried deep.
Grief lifted the veil and stood before me.
In the darkness and the shadows of night,
Grief sat with me,
Wept with me.
Grief let me feel again.
And in the light of dawn,
Grief became my friend,
And introduced me to her friend,
Hope.
