Ease into a comfortable position.

Shift around until your body feels at ease.

When you're ready,

You may close your eyes.

Begin by taking a nice slow deep breath.

Hold the breath for a brief moment.

And now release the breath out through your mouth.

Allow your shoulders to relax as you breathe out.

Once again,

Take another slow deep breath in.

Hold.

Now release.

Each time you exhale,

Allow the tension from your body to drain away.

And one last time.

Inhale.

Hold.

And release the breath.

Allow your body to sink fully into the surface that you're resting on.

In your mind's eye,

See yourself walking on a beach.

It's a warm summer morning.

The ocean breeze is misty and feels refreshing against your skin.

The sun is slowly rising into the clear blue sky.

As you walk along this quiet,

Private beach,

Feel the warm sand between your toes.

The sand feels soothing beneath your feet.

Hear the sound of the ocean waves.

See yourself walking towards the water's edge.

As you approach the water's edge,

Feel the coolness of the wet sand beneath your feet.

Smell the ocean air.

Feel the gentle caress of the ocean water as it washes over your toes each time the waves roll in.

As you continue to walk along the shore,

You're soothed by the sound of the gentle rolling of the ocean waves.

As the waves roll in,

And as the waves roll out.

.

.

With each rolling wave,

Your worries and obligations begin to fade away.

And you're beginning to feel more and more relaxed.

As you walk along the shore,

You notice a soft blanket that is spread out on the white warm sand up ahead.

See yourself walking towards the blanket.

As you decide to sit and rest for a while,

This is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet moment.

Feel the warmth of the sand beneath the blanket.

It feels so soothing.

You look up over the ocean and the sky is completely clear except for one wispy cloud near the horizon over the water.

Hear the seagulls calling out as they fly overhead.

Feel the gentle breeze and the warmth of the sun on your body.

It feels comforting as it caresses your head.

Your face.

Your shoulders.

Arms.

Back.

Legs.

And your feet.

You feel so peaceful here.

Time passes without measure.

You feel very relaxed.

Very calm.

You have no cares.

No worries.

You feel content.

And for the next few minutes,

Continue to enjoy this time of peacefulness,

Warmth and quiet.

2 Much You decide now that it's time for you to leave and you soak in the beautiful scene around you one last time.

See yourself rising to your feet.

Walk slowly back up the beach along the water's edge.

Once again,

Feel the wet sand beneath your feet.

Feel the waves as they wash over your toes.

Notice how the bubbling water feels cool and refreshing.

As you continue to walk along the beach from where you came,

You feel relaxed,

Content,

At ease.

Now you may choose to fall asleep.

Otherwise,

Very slowly and gently,

Begin to notice the sounds in the room.

Feel the places of pressure beneath you.

Wiggle your hands and toes.

Feel free to stretch your yawn.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.
