You have to learn to be comfortable with being vulnerable.
Vulnerability is nothing to be ashamed of.
It's one of the quickest access points to the untapped power you possess.
In this short meditation,
You are offered a simple template for turning your vulnerability into your superpower.
Stop what you're doing for a few minutes and turn your attention within.
It's time to spend some precious moments with the parts of you that are most vulnerable.
Because within those parts,
You will find all those things yet to be resolved.
It's time to offer healing to those vulnerable parts.
Those parts that have felt hurt,
Scared or neglected.
A powerful way to do this is by scanning your body and listening in.
When you scan your body,
You can often come across areas which are hot or cold.
Sometimes there's a numbness or a tingling.
Maybe a colour,
Shape or form is felt or seen somewhere in your body.
These manifestations are often associated with things that you've not resolved or made peace with.
And they get stuck in some part of the body.
So pause now,
Gently scan and listen keenly,
And see where those areas are within your bodyscape.
Now,
Visualise a warm gentle light emanating from your heart.
This light is filled with unconditional love,
Care and compassion.
See the light as clearly as you can in your mind's eye.
Focus this light with heartfelt intention on the area or areas where you discovered some sensation.
Whether that be heat,
Cold,
Numbness or tingling,
Or some colour,
Shape or form.
Whatever you discovered represents some blockage where energy has become stuck,
Unable to move.
Imagine this light,
Which is gently pulsating from your heart,
Spreading its love and compassion.
As it makes contact with any resistance or blockages,
That sensation or form begins to change.
As the light displaces,
Whatever concerns,
Worries,
Pain or fear is stuck there.
Keep focusing the light where it needs to be.
Now,
Give your mind permission to look down the corridor of the past.
Going back to your childhood memories.
Try not to interfere with what emerges.
Some memories will be good,
Others may be challenging,
And a variety in between.
Whatever appears is what is meant to surface today.
Turn the volume down on any negative judgement or feelings of distaste.
And for a little while,
Just observe this kaleidoscope of images and memories.
Whatever has appeared is calling for some time and attention today.
So don't push it away or dismiss it.
From this pool of childhood memories,
Pick something that particularly stands out.
It might be an event,
A situation,
Or a person.
Whatever it is,
It needs resolution,
It needs healing.
You can still see the light that is emanating from your heart,
Soothing any resistances and discomfort.
See that light gently entering your brain and your mind,
And completely coating that experience,
That memory.
It is now saturated with light.
You can feel the light soothing and calming you as it eases any discomfort and makes good any wrongs.
The light is so healing,
Restorative,
And it puts you completely at ease.
Just sit with this feeling for a while.
The light continues to soothe and comfort you.
This light has the power to heal old wounds.
And with each breath you take,
You feel yourself becoming stronger,
More peaceful,
And empowered.
Breathe into this feeling.
You now feel like a weight has been lifted by the light gently erasing the unwanted elements of your experience.
It's not that the past can be changed,
But you can change how the past affects you.
Reflecting on memories in this way,
And seeing them being cleansed by light,
Changes your brain chemistry,
As well as the countless conversations taking place between mind and body.
Meeting vulnerability with grace and kindness is so transformative.
Let's go back to that kaleidoscope of childhood memories.
And as they pass through your mind,
See them continuing to be caressed by light,
Removing anything abrasive,
Any frailties,
And any negative energies.
Enjoy your brain and mind being washed for a little while longer.
Now,
From head to toe,
You are full of light.
Light emanating from the heart,
Distributing its power throughout the whole body.
The brain is throbbing with light,
And the memories of your childhood and younger years now comfortably pass through you without tension and trauma.
Whatever you're feeling,
Even if there are any negative emotions remaining,
They no longer have the influence over you.
There is a feeling of release and relief,
And you enjoy that freedom.
It's time to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Notice the air around you.
And slowly reconnect with your whole body.
You are now present in this space.
Take a deep breath,
And as you inhale,
Know that the love and strength you've cultivated today will remain with you,
Guiding and supporting you as you move forward.
And as you exhale,
Know that you have let go of any anxieties,
Worries,
And fears.
Based on today's experience,
You now understand that connecting with old memories from your childhood and younger years,
Or from any time you've felt vulnerable,
Is not something to be feared,
But something to be embraced.
You choose to no longer be intimidated by the past.
You choose only to take the lessons with you and leave the rest behind.
