Welcome and thank you for being here.
This meditation is an invitation to step out of effort.
And into a deeper listening.
There's nothing that you need to decide right now.
Nothing that you need to change about your life.
Just simply allow yourself.
To feel into what gives and what quietly takes.
If it feels good for you,
You can let your eyes close gently and take a slow breath in and feel your chest expand.
And as you exhale,
Let your body soften into this space.
Feel the supports beneath you,
The steadiness holding your weight.
That your breath finds its own rhythm.
Natural.
Unforced.
Indie style.
And with each exhale,
Release one layer of tension.
Tension of having to be useful,
Productive,
Or needed.
For a few moments.
You're simply allowed to be.
Now gently bring your awareness to your energy.
Not your time,
Not your schedule,
But your life force.
Begin to notice.
Where does your energy naturally flow?
What kinds of work,
Conversation,
Or activities leave you feeling more alive afterwards,
Even if they require effort?
And where does your energy quietly drain?
Perhaps not in dramatic ways,
But subtly.
Leaving you a little less yourself.
Let these observations arise without judgment.
This is not about good or bad.
It's about truth.
And now bring to mind.
Something you do.
Or something you've done before.
That feeds you back.
Something that gives energy as you give it.
Notice how your body responds when you think about that.
Perhaps there's warmth,
Or openness,
Or a sense of rightness.
This is work that nourishes you.
Not because it's easy,
But because it is aligned.
It does not ask you to disappear.
It allows you to show up more fully.
And let yourself rest in this feeling for a few breaths.
Purpose often lives here.
We're giving and receiving.
Are not opposites.
And now,
Gently bring to mind something that consistently drains you.
Not to criticize yourself,
But to see clearly.
Notice the sensations in your body.
Perhaps there's a heaviness,
Tightness,
Or dullness.
This is not failure.
This is information.
And ask yourself softly.
What have I been giving to that no longer gives back to me?
And let the answer arrive without any pressure.
Clarity is an act of self-respect.
And now consider this truth.
Your purpose is not something that's meant to exhaust you.
It is meant to sustain you.
A life of meaning is not built by burning yourself out for something good.
It is built by choosing work,
Visible or invisible,
That allows you to remain alive inside.
Ask yourself within,
What would it mean to honor my energy as sacred?
What might change if you trusted nourishment as a sign of alignment?
Now let that question settle.
And take a slow breath in and a long gentle exhale.
Let everything that you've noticed integrate quietly.
Without needing action.
You don't need to overhaul your life today,
But you can begin by listening.
Your purpose reveals itself when you stop overriding your own vitality and energy.
And ask you to return to your day.
Carry this knowing with you.
You are not here to be emptied by your life.
You are here to participate in it fully alive.
Let what feeds you,
Guide you.
That guidance is wise.
Take one final breath and when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
