Hello,
Thank you for joining Randy May on a guided meditation for couples.
If you want to find a comfortable position with your partner,
You could be sitting down facing each other,
Making sure that you're knee to knee.
You can even sit hand in hand.
Now that you're comfortable sitting across from each other,
We're going to do a mindfulness practice for allowing us to bring the walls down and reconnect.
As you sit across from your partner,
Bringing awareness to the breath that's moving through your body and moving through your partner's body.
Seeing the expansion in the body with each inhale and the gentle contraction in the body with each exhale.
And gently bring your gaze up to your eyes,
Looking at your partner.
And as you look into their eyes,
Taking a nice deep breath in together,
Expanding the breath and taking a nice and gentle slow breath out together,
Settling into the body.
As you look into your partner's eyes,
Bringing awareness to the gift of sitting across from your partner in the here and now,
Feeling their hands in your hands,
Bringing awareness to the breath moving through your bodies and landing your gaze gently into their eyes.
As you look into your partner's eyes,
Notice what you see.
Seeing the person that you love and appreciate and noticing one thing that you appreciate about your partner.
Together we're inviting beginner's mind and looking at our partners with fresh eyes.
Now taking a moment as you sit looking into your partner's eyes,
Send the intention of love.
You can say one thing that's loving or kind in your mind to your partner.
And setting the intention and the tone for a compassionate safe space.
And as you look into your partner's eyes,
I'm going to invite you to close your eyes together,
Still hand in hand,
But simply closing your eyes.
Taking a nice deep breath in together and a gentle and slow breath out.
And now that you're sitting together,
Your eyes are closed,
I'm going to invite you to visualize a big bright light of love coming from your heart and moving towards your partner's heart.
Strengthening your spiritual connection and setting the tone and intention of love from within.
And as you visualize sending this love from your heart like a tunnel to your partner's heart,
Just seeing it getting brighter and brighter.
Noticing what it feels like to give this intention of love and noticing what it feels like to receive this intention of love.
Feeling the warmth of your partner's hands in your hands.
When you're ready,
You can open up your eyes,
Looking at your partner and saying one thing that you appreciate and love about them.
Taking a pause to tell your partner that you love them.
You can do this practice at any time.
Breathing and looking into your partner's eyes is offering the beautiful gift of presence.
Being with your partner,
Feeling them and letting them know that you care.
You can do this every day.
Make it your practice to let your partner know that you love them by being present.
Have a wonderful day.
Take care.
