Hello and a warm welcome to Inside Timer.
I'm Rahul Singh.
If you feel overwhelmed right now,
Do not try to make yourself calm.
Just look around.
Let your eyes notice the room.
The light.
A familiar object.
The space around you.
You are here.
Now feel what is supporting your body.
The chair.
The bed.
The floor beneath your feet.
Let some of your weight be held.
Notice where you are holding more than you need to.
Perhaps the jaw.
The shoulders.
The hands.
Choose one place.
And let it do.
A little less.
That is enough.
Now notice one natural breath.
No big inhale.
Nothing to force.
Let the breath come in.
And allow the exhale.
To leave a little more slowly.
Again.
Innaturally.
Out.
Unhurried.
One more.
In out.
Then leave the breath alone.
Let it find its own rhythm.
If focusing on the breath does not feel comfortable,
Simply return to the feeling of your feet.
Or the surface beneath you.
Feel one point of contact.
Hear one sound.
Notice one sensation.
Come back to what is here.
The mind may still be busy.
That is all right.
The mind does not have to become quiet.
For the body to soften.
A thought can be here.
And the jaw can release.
A worry can be heard.
And the shoulders can drop.
You can feel unsettled.
And still feel the ground beneath you.
So do not ask.
How do I make myself calm?
Ask instead.
What can I stop doing for this moment?
Stop Rehearsing.
Stop checking.
Stop preparing for what has not happened.
Stop trying to solve everything at once.
Not forever.
Just for this moment.
Nothing needs to be solved.
In this spread.
Feel the support beneath you again.
Let the hands soften.
The shoulders become heavier.
The jaw loosens.
Only a little.
Now notice,
Not whether you are completely calm,
But whether there is slightly less urgency,
Slightly less effort,
A little more space.
That is enough.
You do not need to force come.
You can simply stop adding more effort.
One natural breath in.
.
.
And an easy breath out.
Again.
And out.
Then let the breath go by itself.
Feel the ground.
Here the room.
Notice that you are here.
I do not have to respond to everything right now.
I do not have to solve everything right now.
For this moment.
I can do less.
Stay here for one more breath.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to force.
And when you are ready.
.
.
Notice the room again.
The light.
The Sounds.
This peace around you.
Take your time.
For now,
Let the body do a little less.
