A guided meditation to celebrate Ishtar,
The spring equinox,

Please make sure you're going to be somewhere where you're not going to be disturbed.
Somewhere where you can sit or lie comfortably.
Make sure all mobile devices are switched off.
So just close your eyes and as you do so I'd like you to take a deep breath in and on the out-breath just release everything that doesn't need to be in this space.
Take another deep breath in and on the out-breath just release everything that doesn't need to be here.
And allow your breathing to fall into its natural rhythm.
Every in-breath relaxing you more and more and every out-breath just releasing everything.
And think about relaxing your whole body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes all the way down your arms to your fingertips.
For when you think about relaxing so you will relax.
Allow yourself and give yourself permission to relax.
And I want you now to see fully imagine or know a beautiful golden light above your head.
It's a beautiful golden light of peace and relaxation and just allow this beautiful golden light to move into your aura,
That space around you.
And as it does so just allow it to move into your physical body.
Filling up every single cell and membrane of your body,
Completely penetrating you physically,
Mentally and emotionally.
This beautiful golden relaxing light.
And as this beautiful golden light penetrates your head just feel the whole of your head start to relax.
Your brow relax,
Your temples relax,
Your eyes relax in and your eyelids feeling so heavy.
As this relaxation moves down into your nose,
Your cheeks,
Your ears,
Your mouth,
Your jaw.
As this relaxation now moves down into your neck and you feel all your neck muscles start to relax.
This relaxation moves down into your shoulders and your shoulders start to relax as if they're being bathed by beautiful warm sunshine,
Relaxing them more and more.
As this relaxation moves down into your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your lower arms,
Your wrists,
Your hands and your fingers.
And just allow this relaxation to move into your upper body,
Feel all your chest muscles start to relax,
All your stomach muscles relaxing.
As this relaxation moves into your back,
Your back muscles relax and you feel your spine relaxing vertebrae by vertebrae by vertebrae.
As this relaxation moves down into your pelvis,
Your hips,
Your buttocks,
Sinking you deeper down where you are sitting or lying.
As this relaxation moves down into your thighs,
Your knees,
Your shins,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
Your heels,
Your feet and your toes.
And your whole body is just so relaxed and I want you now to seefully imagine or know yourself at the top of a beautiful staircase.
It's a staircase with 10 wide,
Safe,
Comfortable steps leading down to a beautiful door.
And in a moment you're going to walk down those steps from 10 to 1,
Each descending number relaxing you more and more.
Start walking down the stairs now 10,
Going deeper down the stairs 9,
Deeper down the stairs 8,
Deeper down the stairs 7,
More and more relaxed.
Deeper down the stairs 6,
Going deeper down the stairs 5,
Deeper down the stairs 4,
Deeper down the stairs 3,
More and more relaxed.
Deeper down the stairs 2,
All the way down the stairs 1,
Feeling more and more relaxed.
And you stand in front of your beautiful doorway and I want you now to open that door and step right through.
And as you do you find yourself in a beautiful field,
A beautiful field on a wonderful spring day.
The sky is a pale blue and the sun is a golden circle,
Not too strong but a pale yellowy colour,
For it's not quite yet reached its strength,
But there's still a warmth that comes down onto your skin and there's a slight breeze in the air,
A slight nip and chill and it feels so refreshing as if something new is going to begin.
The grass is a pale green,
Not quite the full green of summer yet,
But you notice there are beautiful daffodils around,
Just starting to bloom as you can see their yellow heads.
You might also notice some other spring flowers starting and in the distance you can see some trees,
Trees that have got buds on and you can hear birds in the air flying around,
Getting ready for new life,
Creating their new nests.
You might even see ones flying past with twigs or feathers or leaves,
Ready to build their nests to bring in new life and you start walking through this field towards the trees.
Each step you take relaxing you more and more,
Enjoying this beautiful walk on this fresh spring morning and you may even notice some dew on the grass,
So relaxing,
So refreshing,
Anticipation of something new beginning and as you get to these trees you notice that there's a raised area,
It looks just like a seat for you to sit down on and by this seat is a pile of wood,
A pile of wood ready to create a beautiful fire,
So you sit down feeling safe and relaxed and by the fire you notice the matches,
So you light the fire now with an invocation that as the sun grows in strength through the summer,
So shall the human spirit be renewed in love as the flames take hold and the fire starts to burn,
Helping create the strength of the sun to warm the earth and as you sit watching the fire and hearing the birds moving backwards and forwards,
You think about all the new life that is going to be born and you bless the young of all the wild animals struggling to survive,
Granting them protection,
This is a time of fertility and birth and you bless all the people and renew our spirits in love,
Renew our true understanding of our natural spiritual heritage and we make our souls fertile so that we become rich with new tales to live by,
New poems and songs that interpret the ancient wisdom and inspire and encourage the young to grow in peace and prosperity in love,
This is such a beautiful time for renewal and rebirth and now just take some time to think about what you would like to birth into the world,
What would you like to birth into the world to bring in,
Maybe a new job,
A new relationship,
A new home or something else or maybe there's many things,
So you've now got the chance to birth these into reality now,
So think about them and ask the God,
The Goddess of Isra,
Your guide spirits and angels to help you bring into reality all these things that you want to create for your highest good in light and love and I'll leave you now for a moment or two as you bring these into reality and as you come to the end of creating all these new things,
You thank the Gods and the Goddess of Isra,
Your spirits,
Guides and angels,
They have helped you bring this into reality and you send out unconditional love and hope to the whole of the world that it will bring in peace,
Harmony,
Love,
Community as this new spring,
This new life begins and you notice the fire has increased in strength and burns brightly,
Burns as the sun will grow in strength,
As the days grow longer and the sun grows stronger and you can leave the fire here and it will just keep burning in its one place,
Bringing in the sun and you know that you can come back and stoke this fire anytime you wish to strengthen and grow your dreams,
Your ambitions,
Everything you want to bring into the world.
So you stand up now and you start walking back through the field and as you do you notice that the sky has got a little deeper blue,
You notice that the sun seems to be brighter in colour and the warmth on your skin has grown and you notice that the daffodils are now fully in bloom,
Their bright yellow colours just lighting up the field and that the blossom on the tree just seems to be growing and there's a sense of renewal and hope in the air as with a spring in your step you make your way back to your door and before you know it you've reached your door so I'd like you now to open your door and step right through and find yourself at the bottom of your staircase and in a moment you're going to walk up the stairs from 1 to 10,
Each ascending number bringing you back into your present,
Into the here and now,
Ready to continue with the rest of your day or to allow you to have a good night's sleep.
So if you're ready now let's start walking up the stairs 1,
Coming further up the stairs 2,
Further up the stairs 3,
Coming further up the stairs 4,
Further up the stairs 5,
Remembering your journey,
Knowing and accepting that you have birthed into everything you want now,
Further up the stairs 6,
Coming further up the stairs 7,
Further up the stairs 8,
Further up the stairs 9,
All the way to the top of the stairs 10,
Fully back,
Fully present in your own body in the here and now,
If need be wiggle fingers and toes to make sure that you are fully back,
Fully present and welcome back and please do drink some water.
