Welcome to this meditation on building self-trust and clarity.
This is a guided meditation that allows you to tap into the intuitive wisdom that your soul knows.
And self-trust for myself hasn't always been an easy ride.
As a sensitive person I learned early to read the room,
To look for cues in how other people were behaving,
Look to please others,
To help others feel better are often an expense to myself.
This came specifically around a lot of times when I was making key decisions in my life.
A lot of the time I was making decisions based on the approval of other people,
What they would think if I would let them down.
I was ignoring my own needs.
That cost me quite a lot of time.
It cost me belief in myself,
But there is a way out of this.
There is a way to connect to your wisdom.
It's about finding what's true underneath the fear,
The doubt,
The shame and doing it anyway.
Even if it feels scary.
So I hope through today's meditation practice,
You learn to tap into your wisdom.
Knowing that it is there,
It is within you always.
You just need to still the waters for it to come to the surface.
So if you're not already just finding a comfortable seated position,
One that allows you to be upright,
Allows you to feel secure,
But also strong.
And just closing down your eyes if that feels safe.
And just for a few moments,
Allowing your awareness to focus on your breath.
Noticing where the breath comes most easily for you.
And just allowing your full attention to land there.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allowing any tension or holding in your body just to melt away with every in and every out breath.
So just begin to watch the landscape of the mind.
By that I mean the thoughts,
The visuals,
Just watching the landscape.
Bringing all these voices,
Opinions,
Worries,
Just bringing them to the surface.
And allowing them to be there.
And allowing them to come and go like birds in the sky or clouds floating high.
Being that observer.
Noticing how the thoughts move.
Some may be loud,
Some quiet,
Some urgent,
Some gentle.
Just watch them with non-judgment.
Now I want you to step away from the thoughts.
By bringing your attention to your third eye.
Our intuitive third eye,
Our creative third eye.
We are going to now just see ourself coming up to a door.
Imagining yourself in your mind's eye walking up to a door.
And opening that door.
And you step inside the door.
And in front of you is a library.
A vast library spanning all directions.
Going on for miles.
In this library it is filled with other people's books.
Books stacked high,
Packed tightly on the shelves.
These books they carry the voices and the opinions of other people.
Perhaps rules you inherited,
Beliefs that you believed.
These books are everywhere in this library surrounding you.
You gradually start to step one foot in front of the other.
Walking through this library.
Along a long corridor.
Sometimes you notice the titles of the books.
And they grab you for a little while.
But you do not get stuck on these books.
You continue walking.
And as you make your way through the library.
You find yourself at the very back of this corridor.
At the very back of this corridor.
You see a book on a shelf.
You see a book on a shelf.
Covered in dust and cobwebs.
It looks almost forgotten.
But something inside you tells you to lean in.
And to pull it from its hiding place.
You gently reach in.
You drag the book out.
You remove the dust from the cover.
And on the cover you see your name printed.
You begin to open this book.
Just opening it to whatever page comes.
And on this page.
There is a message for you.
It is what your higher self.
Has been wanting to share with you all along.
Maybe it's a permission.
Maybe it's a truth.
It might simply be a word.
And as you read this.
You sense a lightening in your body.
Remembering that this message.
Has been within you all along.
Just resting with this message for a few more moments.
Allowing that wisdom to permeate through your body.
Through your soul.
You take a big inhale and an exhale.
You close your book and you place it on your shelf.
Closing it but not forgetting.
Knowing that you can come back to this library.
You can find your own book.
Each time your mind feels pulled.
Each time you doubt yourself.
Each time other people's opinions.
Get in the way of your truest desires.
You can find your own book.
Your book and your truth wait for you here.
And you turn around.
You walk back down that long corridor.
Past all of the books and the opinions.
And you open that door.
And you step back into this moment.
Reconnecting with your breath.
Not rushing but just reconnecting.
You start to make micro movements with your fingers and toes.
You come back gently blinking open your eyes.
Returning to your day.
Thank you for practicing this meditation.
