Welcoming you into your earth,
Grounding yoga nidra practice,
Begin by noticing your body,
Noticing how you can allow your body to be completely comfortable as you lay on the earth in your bed.
Adjust the head,
The neck,
Shoulders so they are in line with the spine,
The arms falling away from the sides of the body with the palms facing up to the skylight.
So you can rest your hands with the body,
Grounding.
What other parts of you,
What other parts of your body might need any other adjustments?
Perhaps it's the front of the torso,
The legs,
The feet.
Making these last adjustments so you can remain completely still and supported throughout the practice.
Allowing the senses to begin to open,
Let the eyes soften and sink toward the back of the head,
Relaxing the temple,
Allow the jaw and the tongue to soften,
Bring awareness to the breath within the body and take a big inhalation and a big exhalation,
Completely heavy.
Letting go again,
Big inhalation and exhalation.
A deep release,
Surrendering into the magnetic pull of the earth.
Taking three more breaths here,
One for the body,
In and out,
One for the mind,
In and out,
One for the spirit,
In and out.
And now allow your awareness to rest into the flow of breath,
With an intimate felt experience,
Attention to the ebb and flow of the breath that softens back into the natural cadence.
As you relax into this simplicity,
This natural simplicity of being breathed,
Noticing your body soften even more,
Sensing the warmth of the body and imagine your body heavy to the jungle earth,
Just like a fallen palm tree.
Sensing the fragrance of the earth and the soil all around you,
Each soft exhalation.
Imagine your body heavy and heavier into the support of the earth,
Deeper and deeper.
Welcoming all the sounds,
All the qualities of the sounds,
All the qualities of the sounds around you.
In the jungle,
All of the fragrances of the leaves,
The air,
Healing,
Planet earth,
The sense of smell,
Nourishing,
The base root chakra,
Balancing earth element in the body.
Feel the sense organ of smell,
Welcoming the most beautiful sound bath of the jungle.
The orchestra of birds or perhaps a babbling brook of water in the distance.
The rain,
Raindrops touching the earth,
The element of air in the wind,
In the trees,
Opening to the experience of sound,
Listening in a global way.
The entire body receiving soothing sound vibration of the earth and allowing everything to wash over you and through you,
Welcoming all the different interplays of sounds,
Sounds of your own body,
Sounds of the space around you,
Welcoming the imaginary sounds of the jungle,
Welcoming each sound one by one,
Sensing the space,
The whole vastness of space all around you,
All around you,
Space beneath you,
Above you,
Filled with trees,
Roots,
Rocks,
Beneath your body,
The rolling landscape and the vast curvature of the earth,
The vastness of space and everything happening within this whole play of sound,
Sensation,
Energy,
This whole space of that everything is happening,
Everything is happening with this field,
Light of your awareness,
Just resting as awareness opens,
Wakeful space,
Welcoming the nourishing sounds of sensations of the earth,
The jungle earth to move through you,
Arising,
Dissolving in this spacious awareness,
The changing waves of sounds,
Taking a deep breath in here through the nose and a deep breath out through the mouth,
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling out through the mouth,
Out through the mouth,
Let that breath go and begin to slowly awaken the body,
Moving fingers,
Moving toes,
Noticing the head and noticing how the head and the mind feels as you rotate from side to side,
Noticing how you feel in this short grounding time for yourself,
For yourself,
Just rest and be and connect to the element of earth and you might whisper mentally the words thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for the earth and all the blessings and abundance mother earth provides,
All the sustenance and nutrients you receive,
And when you feel ready,
Beginning to open your eyes,
Taking movements across the whole body,
