Poetry: The Same Game

Sometimes we forget that this game of life is the same for all of us. But we think that we need to compete or be better. We just need to go at our own pace and soak it all up, for with every season a new version of us has to grow and bloom. It's all the same game. We're all in the same game. I got my metaphysical hat firmly on. I think I'm gonna be up till dawn. Trying to figure this all out. Motivational speakers, Stop preaching to me. You're coming from your own traumas. You don't need to put that on me. Some of you are living in a drama. You're too blind to see. You're not the voice of reason. Because with every new season comes another reason to change. We're all just playing the same game. Nothing ever stays the same. We're all just playing the same game. Under different names, Under different shades. We're all just playing the same game. Under different names, In different shades. It's all just the same game. Contemporary, You call yourself. But you're temporary. You just forgot yourself. Holding on to dear life, To those labels, To make you feel stable. You're lost in a dream. Life's not what it seems. It's all just illusion, That causes confusion. Soak it up, But learn to let it go. You can't hold on to anything or anyone, Because everything eventually goes. We're all just playing the same game.
