Poetry: Mother Nature Awake Us

Mother Nature isn't happy with us. Climate change is happening all over the planet, with intense flooding, earthquakes, and heatwaves.
This is a poem to remind ourselves, that without her, we cannot and will not survive.

So let's put this in perspective. Some have their theories. Others have their conspiracies. Some need scientific proof. Others say, I told you karma was true. So let's break this down. The biggest virus to discuss is simply all of us. We were given a planet to nourish and cherish. Instead, We allowed her to silently perish. Maybe her earthquakes were the sound of her heartaches. But we never heard her cry. And now, Our hands are tied. We used her to feed our egos and goals. While all she wanted was to feed our souls. So now what? Do we continue to ravish her away? Or wait until she pushes us away? All I know is this. Her wisdom is over 4 billion years old. Yet humans thought that they were in control. And now she has humbled us all. Because these global shake-ups are the only way to awake us.
