Take a slow deep breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Relax your jaw.
And simply arrive in this moment.
Today,
We are tapping on something many of us may have learned very early in life.
The need to be a good girl.
Being a good girl meant Don't upset anyone.
Don't say too much.
Be agreeable.
Be helpful.
Leave a like.
Don't make things difficult.
And somewhere along the way.
You may have learned.
If I am easy to be around.
I will be accepted.
If I do what people expect.
I will be loved.
If I keep everyone happy.
I will be safe.
There were times when being agreeable was rewarded.
And expressing what you really wanted was not.
So you learned.
You adapt it.
And perhaps.
That pattern stayed with you.
Long after childhood.
We are not rejecting the caring.
Torque fully.
Or generous part of you.
We are simply releasing the belief.
That you have to abandon yourself.
In order to be considered good.
Take another slow breath.
Let's begin.
Tab on the karate chop.
And repeat after me.
Even though I learned that being a good girl meant keeping other people happy.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though R2P still feels safer.
When I'm agreeable.
And easy for everyone else.
I owner by I learned this pattern.
One more time.
Even though I'm afraid of what might happen.
If I stop being the good girl,
Everyone expects I'm open to discovering.
That I can be a good person.
Without abandoning myself.
Take a slow breath.
Eyebrow point.
I learned to be a good girl.
So I do the eye.
Don't upset anyone.
And a guy.
Don't disappoint anyone.
Under the nose.
Be agreeable.
Change point.
Be easy.
Pull up one.
Do what is expected of you.
Under the arm.
Keep everyone happy.
To go to the head.
And maybe.
Then I will be accepted.
Take a deep breath.
Notice what these words bring up for you.
And programmed.
Maybe,
I learned this very early.
Saru.
I.
Maybe I was praised when I behaved the way others wanted.
And that.
I,
Maybe,
Approval felt really important.
Under the nose.
Maybe disagreement felt uncomfortable.
Chain point.
So I learned to adjust myself.
And learn to read.
What other people wanted.
Under the arm.
And become that version of me.
Top of the head.
I became really good at being good.
Take a slow breath.
And allow yourself to acknowledge.
How intelligent that adaptation may have been.
At that time.
Eyebrow point.
But sometimes being good meant ignoring myself.
Side of the eye saying yes when I wanted to say no.
Under the eye,
Staying quiet when I wanted to speak.
Under the nose.
Agreeing when I don't actually agree.
Chain point.
Making other people's comfort.
More important than my truth.
Call everyone.
Maybe I became afraid of disappointing people.
And a better arm.
Maybe I forgot to ask myself.
But I wanted.
Top of the head.
I've been carrying this pattern for long enough.
Take another breath.
No judgment.
Just awareness.
I broke point.
But if being good does not mean always saying yes.
Side of the eye.
Vertex being good does not mean Always Agreeing.
Under the eye.
What if being good does not require me to stay quiet?
Under the nose.
What if someone's disappointment does not make me bad.
Chain point.
I can be kind and still disagree.
I can be loving and still say no.
Under the arm.
I can care about others without abandoning myself.
To put the head.
Maybe it's time to redefine What being good means to me.
It gives slow depth.
I broke wind.
Someone might not like my choices.
That of the I.
Someone might disagree with me.
Under the eye.
Someone might even feel disappointed.
Under the nose.
And I can allow the discomfort.
Chain point.
I don't have to immediately change myself.
Their disappointment.
Does not automatically mean I had done something wrong.
Under the arm.
I can tolerate someone not approving of me.
Top of the head.
And still remain connected to myself.
Take a deep breath.
Notice.
What happens in your body?
When you imagine someone being disappointed with you.
And you don't rush to fix it.
Just breathe.
I broke point.
I give myself permission.
To have references.
Sort of guy.
I gave myself permission to have opinions.
Under the eye.
I give myself permission to say no.
And dip the nose.
I give myself permission to change my mind.
I gave myself permission to take up space.
Collarbone.
I gave myself permission to to choose differently.
Under the arm.
I don't need everyone's approval.
Top of the head.
I'm allowed to belong to myself.
Take another slow breath.
Eyebrow point.
I don't need to be the good girl anymore.
I can simply be myself.
Under the eye,
Kind but honest.
Under the nose.
Caring.
But having boundaries.
Genders.
But connected to myself.
I can consider other people's need.
Without ignoring my.
Under the arm.
I can choose what is right for me.
To glue the head.
And I can still be a good person.
Take a deep breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
Now,
Imagine a younger version of yourself.
Perhaps,
She is standing in front of you.
Trying so hard to do everything right.
Trying to behave.
Trying not to upset anyone.
Trying to earn approval.
Notice her.
And gently tell her,
You don't have to work this hard to be good.
Imagine telling her,
You are allowed to have your own opinions.
You are allowed to want things.
You are allowed to say no.
You are allowed to disagree.
You don't have to make everyone happy.
Notice how tree responds.
She feels relieved.
She is unsure.
Maybe.
Part of her still worries.
But will people still love me?
Gently tell her.
You don't have to abandon yourself.
To UNLOVE.
Imagine.
Taking her hand.
And together Imagine stepping away from all those invisible rules.
About.
Who you have to be.
No rebellion.
No fighting.
Just permission.
Permission to be a whole person.
With nades.
References.
Opinions.
Boundaries.
And a voice.
Take a few slow breaths.
Tap on the eyebrow point.
I release the need to always be agreeable.
Saru.
Ai I release the need to earn approval.
Under the eye.
I don't have to shrink.
To make others comfortable.
Under the nose.
I don't have to say yes when I mean no.
Chain point.
My needs are allowed to exist.
Color Bone.
My voice is allowed to exist.
And the arm.
I can choose myself without making anyone else wrong.
Top of the head.
I am free to be fully myself.
Take one final deep breath.
And slowly breathe out.
Place a hand over your heart.
If that feels comfortable.
And repeat slowly.
I'm allowed to have needs.
I'm allowed to have preferences.
I'm allowed to say no.
I am allowed to disagree.
I am allowed to change my mind.
I don't have to earn love through obedience.
I don't have to earn belonging through approval.
Someone else's disappointment does not make me bad.
I can be kind.
Without abandoning myself.
I can be caring.
Without always saying yes.
I can honor others and honor myself.
I trust my own voice.
I belong to myself.
I'm free to be me.
Take another slow breath in.
And gently breathe out.
You don't have to stop being kind.
You don't have to stop.
Caring You don't have to become hard or rebellious.
You are simply giving yourself permission to include yourself in the kindness,
We have been giving everyone else.
You're allowed to be a good person.
Without having to be the good girl.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
And carry this reminder with you.
I don't have to abandon myself.
Do we love?
Accept it.
All good.
