I just finished doing a question and answer with Anna here in Germany on resistance.
And I just had a couple of points that I wanted to add.
One is that it is far more accelerative to focus on sharing love and kindness and wanting to become the person you were born to be and focusing on the light in others as well than to focus on your own resistance to make that a thing.
Resistance comes up as we move into truth,
But the more we make it into a thing and fight it,
The bigger it's going to get.
And I'm concerned that there seem to be quite a lot of people that I'm talking to who are trying to perfect themselves from the level of their ego.
So this is the trouble with the spiritual path.
We start wanting to free our soul,
But often the ego grabs the journey and it will start instructing us on how to do the journey,
Which is just nuts in a way.
Because the ego is exactly the problem,
Exactly what separates us from feeling our souls.
But you see,
This is how human psychology is built.
We have our egos from our conditioning and really they come from other lives before that.
The egos will tell us resistance is a bad thing and get us just feeling really bad about ourselves about resistance.
And that just will slow us down,
So don't do it.
If you are experiencing trouble in your life,
Maybe you were mean to somebody,
Maybe you were rude to somebody,
Maybe you're having trouble in a relationship,
Witness it and pray about it.
Pray about it.
And if you're really sincere about it,
Gradually you will be brought to somebody who can help you take the next step or you'll be brought to having maybe a sleepless night where your body hurts and where you're sort of realizing that the way you're living isn't making you happy and you turn to the higher power,
You turn to your heart,
To the God within you and you'll really set your intention to find a happier way of living.
That's how you get through your resistances.
It's often through a lonely night or through tears of sorrow at how stuck you are in certain behaviors.
But really,
So many beginning spiritual students,
I see this,
The ego grabs their journey and starts telling them this is good and this is bad and your soul will never do that.
When you get farther on the journey,
What happens is you tap into your soul and you're given a kind of gentle neutrality.
And from that place of gentle neutrality,
What happens is truer perceptions will float up into your consciousness.
And help you unravel your ego.
We just have to be patient with the journey.
It's like,
You know,
Clearing the ego can be like a minefield.
Anyway,
Just it takes time.
But please remember your souls are very gentle with yourselves.
And if you're judging yourself too hard,
The ego's in there.
Okay,
Bless your heart.
