Peace is not fantasy thinking.
Peace cannot ever be found in the past or the future.
Peace is not seeking,
Analyzing,
Ruminating,
Wondering,
Wishing,
Or wanting.
Peace cannot be found in the what-ifs,
In the asking of why.
Peace is not found in emotional archaeology,
A digging up of one's past over and over again.
Peace is not found in constant analysis,
Excavation of the past,
Or analysis and worry about the future.
Peace is in the understanding and acceptance that no one is coming to save you.
No person,
No man,
No woman,
No child,
No teacher.
No place,
No vacation,
No geographical move.
No book,
No thing.
Peace is in the allowing of the savior complex to dissolve,
And knowing that it can and will always only come from within you.
Peace is in the quieting of the mind,
In the relaxing and softening of the body.
Peace comes when the body and mind feel safe.
Peace is in this very moment.
