Good morning.
It is Saturday,
September 30th,
Just coming out of a full moon yesterday.
And I'm coming to you from Ocean City,
Maryland.
If you hear that subtle sound of waves in the background,
That is the Atlantic Ocean.
And I thought as I find peace and solace in these few moments for myself before the day unfolds,
I would bring some of that peace and surrender to you as well.
So settle in,
Get comfortable wherever you are.
Maybe still in bed.
Maybe sitting on a mat or a cushion.
Or maybe on the sand,
Staring into the sea.
Wherever you are,
Finding that tall spine,
Grounding down through the seat bones,
Sitting up nice and tall.
Let the crown of the head shine to the sky.
Start to slowly close the eyes or allow the gaze to just become soft,
Loosening the muscles around the eyes.
Start to bring the attention to your breath as an anchor for a ship in the sea.
Let that anchor be your breath today.
Breathing in through the nose,
Fill up through the belly.
Let it expand like a balloon.
Let the chest rise.
Exhale,
Release through the mouth.
Maybe even parting the lips,
Sighing it out,
Letting it be audible,
Releasing any tension,
Any stale energy.
And breathe again in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Taking a few more of these at your own pace to become centered,
To become present in this moment,
In this time.
And as thoughts arise in your mind today during this period of time for yourself,
Gently watching them,
Watching them like the waves roll in on the ocean,
Watching them and letting them go,
Letting them go as they fold,
As they fall,
As they crash into the sand.
Let those thoughts come and pass.
Bringing the attention back to your breath,
Inhale through the nose.
Let the belly expand and be soft,
Exhaling through the mouth.
I'd like to invite you to bring some awareness and attention to something you're grateful for this morning.
Having an attitude of gratitude can set our days off with abundance,
Thankfulness,
Appreciation for things we already have right here and now.
What is one thing you are grateful for in this moment?
Hold that,
Hold that token of gratitude.
Breathe in and release.
The next inhale,
Maybe repeating to yourself softly,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for giving me such abundance,
For allowing me to awake today and know what I am grateful for.
Inhale again,
Feel the belly expand.
Exhale,
Release,
Letting go,
Surrendering.
Breathing here,
Keeping that intention,
That token of gratitude in your mind's eye,
Focusing on that,
Maybe alternating between the focus of your inhale and exhale,
I am grateful for this ocean.
Inhale,
I am grateful for this new day.
I am grateful for new beginnings and new opportunities.
I am grateful for the sunshine,
The clouds,
The rain,
The snow.
I am grateful for all of my senses that allow me to hear,
See,
Smell,
Taste,
Touch.
I am grateful for technology that allows me to be here with you now,
Guiding you.
Inhale,
Fill up through that gratitude.
Exhale,
Release,
Softening,
Surrendering,
Becoming just a bit heavier in the body.
Taking a few moments here,
Scanning the body,
Noticing how it feels.
Taking awareness of any little bits of tension or tingles or softness.
Can you just soften a bit more?
Inhale here,
Bringing this attitude of gratitude into your day,
Into your evening.
Smiling at your attitude of gratitude,
Knowing that it can lead you to infinite possibilities through your day,
Through your life.
Your life is a miracle.
Start accepting it.
Start believing it.
You are the miracle.
I am grateful for you taking this time for yourself,
Grounding,
Resetting,
Knowing that you are a miracle in this life.
And having an attitude of gratitude each morning can set your day up,
Set your life up for success beyond your wildest dreams.
Take another minute or two here for yourself,
Listening to the ocean waves,
Breathing here.
And when you're ready,
Slowly start to wiggle the fingers,
Wiggle the toes,
Slowly bringing the awareness back to your present space,
Your surroundings.
Blink the eyes open.
And again,
What are you grateful for today?
Until next time,
Friends,
Have a peaceful and loving day.
