Setting your intention on anything you're about to do including meditation is a powerful way to stay clear and focused about the activity and about the benefits that you want to achieve from that activity.
So before we start any meditation just spend a moment contemplating all the different benefits that you would like to achieve through meditating in this way.
And to make that intention even broader consider how this activity may benefit more than just yourself because in fact if you through this meditation become a more tranquil,
Peaceful,
Calm and wise person you will definitely affect those around you and they in turn may find that they model you and become more peaceful and tranquil and in turn affect others.
So there is a ripple effect from you achieving a greater state of peace through meditation.
Consider this in your setting of intention to make that intention as broad and as powerful as you can possibly do.
So spend a bit of time now considering all the benefits you hope to achieve out of this meditation and the knock-on effect that it will have that benefits to other people.
And when you're ready you can either conclude the meditation or go on to the main part of your meditation,
A different type of meditation.
