Taking some deep breaths into the belly,
Allowing your body to let go and relax with every breath that you take.
Relaxing your face,
Your shoulders.
Thinking into the chair,
Inhaling,
Exhaling.
Releasing your breath imagination,
Connect to a place that brings you joy.
What does this place look like?
What's the weather like?
Is it bright and sunny?
Or maybe it's winter and you like being bundled up in front of the fire.
Tuning in to this special place,
Allowing as many details to come to your mind's eye.
And now,
Allowing an image to come to you that inspires the feeling of love in your body.
Maybe you have an animal,
A dog or a cat that just makes you smile.
A niece or a nephew.
Giving that feeling of love and joy to simply be in your body.
And now,
Inviting into this space your inner child.
Noticing how old they are,
What they look like,
What they're feeling right now.
Are they running and jumping and laughing?
Or maybe they're a little sad and afraid.
Engage with them,
If they're jumping and laughing,
Jump and laugh with them.
If they're sad or angry,
Let them know that you're here to take care of them.
You will do your best to listen to them,
To give them what they need.
Whatever they're feeling right now is okay.
And they are safe and taken care of.
Allowing yourself to simply be present with your inner child right now.
Honoring this relationship that you're creating.
Taking a few more precious moments with this child who is so dear to your heart.
Letting them know that you'll be back.
Making a commitment to listen and cherish this child more often.
And when you're ready,
Saying goodbye for now.
Letting him or her know that if they need anything,
They can always come to you.
When you're ready,
Taking a few deep breaths,
Saying goodbye,
Bringing your awareness back to the present moment,
Back to your body,
To your breath,
And gently opening your eyes.
Thank you.
