The Five Remembrances are one of the central contemplations in the Buddhist tradition. They remind us that we will all grow old, become ill, pass away, experience loss and that we inherit the consequences of our actions. This meditation will meditatively walk you through each of these and give you a chance to contemplate them for yourself. The purpose is to inspire you to take advantage of your precious human life, realize that what you do matters, and direct yourself toward awakening.
