A pause for self-compassion and loving kindness.
Welcome.
I am glad you're here.
Find a comfortable seated position.
Where you feel supported.
Allow your feet to rest on the floor if that's available to you.
Or simply notice the places where your body is being supported.
If it feels comfortable,
Gently soften your gaze or allow your eyes to close.
Take a natural breath in.
And a slow breath out.
Without needing to change anything,
Simply notice that you have arrived.
If it feels supportive today,
You're invited to add a gentle bilateral tapping.
The gentle alternating rhythm can serve as an anchor,
Helping you stay present as you move through this practice.
You might softly alternate.
Tapping your thigh.
If you prefer,
Cross your arms over your chest in a butterfly hug and alternate gentle taps from one side to the other.
There is no perfect rhythm.
Simply allow the tapping to feel slow,
Steady,
And comfortable for you.
If the tapping doesn't feel supportive today,
You are welcome to simply rest your hands wherever they feel most at ease.
As you continue tapping,
Gently begin offering yourself these wishes.
There is nothing you need to feel or believe.
Simply offering yourself these wishes is enough.
You Between each phrase,
I'll leave a few moments of quiet.
You You're invited to continue to happy.
And simply notice what it's like to receive each wish.
You silently repeat.
May I be peace.
You you Allow these words to gently settle without needing to force them.
May I meet myself with compassion.
You you Meeting yourself.
Just as you are in this moment.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to change.
May I be free from fear.
You Making space for courage even if fear is still present.
You May I be filled with loving-kindness.
Allowing kindness to gently soften Whatever feels tense,
Guarded,
Weary.
You May I live with greater ease.
Trusting that ease can begin with this breath.
Now,
Whenever you're ready,
Allow the tapping to come to an end.
Let your hands rest comfortably Take a moment to notice how you're feeling right now.
There is no right or wrong experience.
Simply noticing what is here.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath in.
In a slow breath out.
As you continue with your day,
May you remember that kindness is not something you have to earn.
It is something you can continue to practice one moment at a time.
Thank you.
For practicing with me.
