Welcome to today's meditation,
Which is based around the poem,
Walk Slowly by Dana Faulds Wherever you are,
Whatever you're doing,
Find your comfortable position,
Find somewhere you won't be disturbed Whether you be seated on the floor with your legs crossed or kneeling,
Sat on a chair with your feet flat on the floor,
Spine nice and tall Or maybe you prefer to lay down,
Finding a place you can be comfortable,
Settled And ready to begin this practice Closing off the eyes,
Finding a focal point Taking a deep inhale Deep exhale Inhaling deeply Exhale completely Inhaling Exhaling And then just listening to these words by Dana Faulds Walk slowly It only takes a reminder to breathe,
A moment to be still And just like that,
Something within me settles,
Softens and makes space for imperfection The harsh voice of judgement drops to a whisper,
And I remember again that life isn't a relay race That we will all cross the finish line,
That waking up to life is what we were born for As many times as I forget,
Catch myself charging forwards without even knowing where I'm going That many times I can make the choice to stop To breathe To be And to walk slowly into the mystery I invite you to just listen and think and observe upon those words What does walk slowly mean to you?
Taking a deep inhale here Exhaling completely Inhaling Exhaling Inhaling Exhaling Inhale Exhale Just noticing how the body feels,
How do you feel emotionally,
Physically and mentally And then when you're ready,
Just wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Bringing that awareness back into the body Thank you for practicing with me today,
Sending you all my love and light Namaste
