We want others to love all of us but we cannot ask that of other people without loving all of ourselves, first. We have an unrealistic image of who we should be and how we should look, constantly judging ourselves and scrutinizing every inch of our bodies. It is cruel how we treat the gift of having a body which, in return for all it does to keep us alive, we don’t show much appreciation for it, often taking it for granted, and seemingly ignoring how much it does to keep us alive. Enjoy.

Find a comfortable place to lie down and place a hand on your heart space,

The other on your belly,

And close your eyes.

This is a love letter,

An ode to the body,

Beautiful you,

Beautiful,

Exquisite body.

This is my love letter to you.

Where do I begin?

With a love as deep as ours.

I'll begin with my breath.

Thank you,

Body,

For my breath.

Yes,

Yes,

This one breath I'm in right now.

Thank you.

And yes,

This breath too,

And this breath,

And that one,

And this one.

Thank you for my breath so I may breathe in the sweetness of you.

Thank you for my breath so that I know I am present in you.

Thank you for my eyes.

Thank you for my eyes so that I may admire you in all of your beauty.

And for my ears,

Body,

Thank you for my ears so that I can deeply listen to you.

And for my voice,

Thank you for my voice so that I can laugh and sing with you,

Beautiful body.

And for my legs,

Thank you for my legs so that I may dance and play with you,

Beautiful body.

And for my arms,

Thank you for my arms so that I can hold and care for you.

And for my mind,

Body,

Thank you for my mind so that I can think and consider you.

And for my heart,

Body,

Thank you for my heart so that I can love and adore every inch of you,

Beautiful body.

It is because of you,

My love,

That I can see all the earth's beauty.

It is because of you,

My love,

That I can smell the earth's sweet fragrance.

It is because of you,

My love,

That I can hear the earth's soft music.

And because of you,

My love,

I can taste the earth's sweetness.

Thank you,

Body.

You are the chosen,

Protective container for my soul.

And for that,

I am deeply grateful.

You are lovingly carrying me through this lifetime,

Giving me the freedom to touch the ground.

Each time I take a step,

My feet kiss the earth.

You carry me through my sorrows and my joys and my sorrows again,

Back to my joys.

You are always with me,

Reminding me to stay present.

You,

My love,

You are exquisite beauty.

You are my gift from the infinite universe.

I cherish you,

And I accept you just as you are.

Beautiful body,

You are loved,

Deeply loved,

Now and always.

I encourage you to write your own love letter to your body.

Tell your body how much you appreciate all that it does for you,

All that it does to keep you healthy and vibrant,

To feel your presence and aliveness inside the body.

Write a letter,

A love letter,

To your body to show your deep gratitude and appreciation for all that it does for you.

I wish you health and happiness,

Many blessings.
