Hi,
I m Alex.
Welcome to your Ocean Wave Energy Clearing Meditation.
This practice is especially supportive as you transition after your workday,
In your bedtime ritual,
Or as a resource to clear any lingering discomfort that might remain after being stressed or emotionally activated.
You're invited to arrive just as you are,
And when you're ready,
We'll begin.
Please make your way into any position of your choice.
Feel free to shimmy and adjust to get extra comfortable.
Ideally in a private space where you can relax and won't be interrupted.
If you haven't already,
Please allow the eyelids to soften,
Floating them closed if that feels okay.
As we begin this journey,
Know that your imagination is an ally and creative thinking is welcomed.
Together we'll use the breath and imagery of the ocean to support a gentle clearing.
Like waves carrying away what is no longer yours and returning you to your own center.
First,
Recognize what's here and how you're feeling at the start of this practice.
Perhaps reflecting on the day you've had and what led you here.
Try your best not to get into the story or narrative of what's happened.
Now we'll begin to shift by connecting with the breath as a bridge between mind and body.
Notice the natural ebb and flow of breathing.
The rising and singing.
Observe the way a release organically happens after an inhalation.
The breath as evidence of an inner healing intelligence.
Trusting that your body knows how to clear and let go.
Remember that the tide doesn't force its rhythm.
It trusts its return.
From here,
We'll come into a pranayama or breathing practice.
Option one is to breathe mindfully,
Simply noticing the breath as it flows in and out.
Option 2 is to explore Ujjayi Pranayam.
This yogic breathing practice creates an oceanic,
Whispering sound similar to holding your ear up to a seashell.
To practice your ujjayi breath,
You'll create a slight constriction in the back of your throat by lifting the root of the tongue towards the back of the throat.
It's similar to fogging up a mirror with the mouth closed.
When you're ready,
Breathe in through the nose.
And on your exhale,
Create an H-A sound out through the mouth.
We'll try that again,
But this time you'll keep your mouth closed and breathe in and out through the nose.
You can rest the tip of the tongue behind the top teeth as you soften the space between the eyebrows.
You might hear the subtle sound of the sea within you.
Breathing as fast as the ocean,
Establishing a rhythm with slow even-length inhalations and exhalations.
We'll continue with this breath for a few more rounds.
Coming back to the natural breath.
Letting yourself be gently robbed from the inside out as you allow yourself to be breathed with an effortless oceanic sway.
From here,
Visualize yourself relaxing by the ocean.
In this space,
You have everything you need to feel safe and at ease.
The temperature of the air is perfect,
And the lighting is just right,
Allowing the muscles in the face to soften.
The sun is slowly setting above the horizon as the surface of the water glistens with a blanket of a million diamonds,
Reflecting the light.
The invitation is to consider whether you want to approach and touch the water.
Hearing the sounds,
Immersing yourself in the sights.
Sensing the wind and salty air,
And noticing what you can feel and touch in this space.
With our intention to clear,
Take note of the size of the waves and observe their flow.
Rising,
Swelling,
Cresting,
Crashing,
And receding.
A reflection of your own inner water.
Breathing with the ocean.
You Feeling the inhale gather like a wave drawing towards the shore and the exhale release back into vastness.
Now acknowledging any energy you've absorbed that isn't yours.
Drawing your attention to the pull of the receding waves,
Magnetizing any discomfort,
Tension,
Heaviness,
Or stagnation farther and farther away from you.
The waves carrying what is not yours toward the glistening light,
Returning it to its source with gratitude.
With each rising wave,
All parts of you and your energy are called back home to you,
Replenishing your reserves.
Cleansing.
Leering.
Returning.
As this practice slowly wanes,
So do the winds and waves.
The water becoming calmer and calmer.
A crescent moon rises above the setting sun as the canvas of the sky transforms into palettes of pinks and purples.
Whether you're drifting away into twilight or carrying on with your day,
Allow this to be symbolic of the natural cycles of release and renewal,
An ending that is also a beginning.
Before ending this visualization,
Consider extending gratitude to the ocean for supporting this energy clearing practice.
Gently curving the corners of your lips upwards,
Drawing a soft smile across your face,
Helping you relax even more.
Take a moment to notice how your inner landscape feels now.
Perhaps lighter and more buoyant after clearing while sinking more deeply into yourself.
When you're ready,
Gently deepen your breath.
Perhaps inviting small movements into your fingers and toes.
May you trust,
Like the ocean,
That what is meant to leave will leave and what is truly yours will always find its way back to you.
If your eyes have been closed,
Slowly float them open now.
Thank you for practicing with me.
I can't wait to practice together again soon.
You you
