This soothing meditation is the perfect meditation to prepare your mind and your body for deep,
Comforting and calming sleep.
This meditation is designed to let you process your emotions,
Release tension and simply let go after a challenging day.
When you are ready,
Begin to prepare your mind and your body to switch off,
To turn inwards and come home into yourself where you are safe,
Peaceful,
Loved and accepted.
To do this,
Move your body into a comfortable position.
This could be sitting cross-legged on the floor with your back supported by a wall.
It could be sitting on your comfortable bed with your feet in connection with the floor.
Or my favourite,
Lying down in bed with your arms and feet completely relaxed as they tumble gently and naturally to the side.
Now if you have not done so already,
I invite you to close your eyes.
Take a minute to connect with yourself.
How do you feel?
Is there any tension in your body?
Starting with your feet,
Notice any tension,
Any tightness in your toes,
The soles of your feet,
Your ankles and let this go.
Moving up through your calves and your knees,
Your thighs,
Your lower back.
Again,
Notice any tension,
Any tightness and let this go.
Now focus on your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your upper back.
Find any tension and lovingly let this go.
Relax your neck,
Your jaw,
The space between your eyes,
Your forehead,
Your ears and your tongue inside your mouth.
Find any tension and in one long deep exhale,
Let this all go.
And finally,
Move down towards your arms,
Your elbows,
Your hands,
Your fingers.
Lovingly let all of your worries,
Fears,
Tension,
Tightness,
Uncertainty,
Just let it all go.
Your body is now light and weightless like a feather in the wind,
Drifting off slowly and gently on a soft bed of clouds.
You glide effortlessly knowing you are safe,
Loved and supported.
As you glide forward on this cloud,
I invite you to reflect on the day just gone.
If anyone wronged you today,
Let it go.
If anyone hurt you today,
Let it go.
If anything worried you today,
Let those worries go.
If you felt uncertain or overwhelmed today,
Let those feelings go.
If you felt angry today,
Let that feeling go.
If you felt frustrated today,
Simply let that feeling go.
Here in this moment,
Accept that it is time for you to rest.
There is simply nowhere for you to be,
Nothing for you to do,
But rest here in the now on this comfortable cloud of sleep.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Tomorrow you can start again.
But for now,
It is time to rest.
It is time to recharge.
