Hello,
My name is Nirelle and I will be guiding you through your restorative yoga practice.
Find a comfortable,
Easeful,
And restful position for your body.
This can be any variation of sitting,
Reclined,
Or lying down.
Use pillows,
Blankets,
Or any other things to support your body as it needs to be supported.
You can choose to practice on the floor,
In your bed,
On the couch,
In a chair,
Or even outside,
As long as you feel completely comfortable and at ease.
If you feel uncomfortable at any time during this practice,
Make any adjustments you need to find yourself back in easefulness again.
When you've found a comfortable pose,
Take a few rounds of breath to come into a breath that is natural,
Flowing,
And soft.
With every exhale of the breath,
Release some tension in your body.
Start to release tension in your forehead,
In your jaw,
And then in your neck.
In your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your chest,
And your belly.
Let go of any strain in your hips,
Your thighs,
Your legs,
And your feet.
Softly let go of your day.
Release anything that happened before.
All of these things are in the past.
Softly release any thoughts or feelings about your day.
This present moment is for you.
Let go of the future and any projections you have.
Gently unbind yourself from thoughts about what is to be.
The future is not now.
Now is the present.
Passively observe what is happening in this present.
Notice your breath as it flows through you and notice the sensations in your body.
Release any judgments you might have of them.
This time of release and rest is for you and you alone.
Find a few moments in stillness here as you rest in your present moment.
Start to bring your awareness to your external surroundings.
By introducing some subtle movements into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And then reach your hands over your head and stretch out your body.
Gently blink your eyes open.
Welcome back.
