Hello,
My name is Nirelle and I will be guiding you through 5 minutes of restorative yoga.
You can choose to practice on the floor,
In your bed,
On the couch,
In a chair,
Or even outside as long as you feel completely comfortable.
Find a comfortable and restful position for your body.
This can be lying down or sitting up.
You can use pillows to prop yourself and blankets or towels to cushion and cover you.
If you feel uncomfortable at any time during this practice,
Make any adjustments you need to find yourself in easefulness again.
When you've found a comfortable place,
Take a few rounds of breath.
Find a breath that feels natural,
Soft,
And restful.
Follow the ebb and the flow of your breath.
The inhales and the exhales.
The feeling of the breath through your nose,
Your mouth,
Your chest,
Your belly,
And your back.
With every inhale you bring in nutrients and nourishment.
And with every exhale you release that which is no longer needed.
Your thoughts may start to wander off,
To far places,
The past,
Or the future.
That's okay.
Gently follow your breath back to the present.
Spend time with your breath here in stillness for a few moments as you rest.
Take one breath out.
Start to gently bring your external awareness back.
Start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
Give yourself a nice stretch by stretching out your arms and gently blink your eyes open.
Welcome back.
