Give yourself permission to follow your creative desires. We all trick ourselves into believing that we cannot, or should not, or aren't good enough to follow our creative dreams. Allow yourself to explore what you would create if there were no limits.

Take a moment here to get comfortable,

To really allow the weight of the body to release.

Perhaps bend and flex the toes for a moment and then let them go.

Reach and expand the fingers,

Really get active in the hands for a moment,

And then let them be.

Perhaps press the tongue to the roof of the mouth,

Hold it there for just a beat,

And then let it sink back down.

Allow the eyes to close.

Really watch the movement of the tongue.

Allow the eyes to close.

Really watch the blackness behind the eyes here.

Paying attention to any shapes or colors that may float by.

And then begin to allow those random shapes and patterns to coalesce,

To take on a shape,

Allow them to become a mug.

Feel it drop into your hands here.

Wrap the fingers around it.

Take a moment to appreciate the texture,

The weight,

The warmth.

Gaze down and find that this mug is filled with your favorite morning beverage.

Watch as the steam drifts lazily up toward you.

Feel that first invigorating moment as the smell reaches you.

And then slowly lift the mug to your lips and take a sip.

Feel the heat as it slides across the tongue and down the throat.

Revel in this satisfaction.

Allow your gaze to come to your feet here.

Find that you are barefoot,

Standing on an outside wooden deck that is flacked with little bits of sand.

Allow the gaze to drift up to a beach.

Not just any beach.

This is your beach.

Take another sip here,

Enjoying this morning moment.

Begin to walk out onto the sand.

Find that it is damp from the night before,

Cold beneath the toes.

The ocean impossibly calm.

The sun not even visible yet.

Just the barest of hints that a new day is dawning.

Appreciate this rare opportunity when no one is here but you.

Begin to meander down the beach.

Feeling the contrast between cool sand on your feet and the warm mug in your hands.

Perhaps your gaze is out toward the water here.

Perhaps you are taking the time to appreciate all of the small things that make up the sand here.

Not just the individual grains,

But the little pieces of shells,

Minuscule pebbles.

Notice that there is no wildlife here yet.

No birds overhead.

It is as though nothing else has awoken.

As you look forward here,

Notice an outcropping of rock that you've never seen in this place before.

Make that your destination.

As you get closer,

It looms larger.

Walk right up to the rock here.

Reach a hand out.

Feel it rough and worn beneath your fingers.

From years of being battered by the surf.

Find that it is still damp.

As you wander around it,

Spot a small opening here.

A cave carved into this rock.

Duck your head and slide into this space.

For a moment,

It is total darkness.

Reach your hand out to the wall.

Find that there are droplets of water here.

That it is cold.

Refreshing.

As the eyes adjust,

Watch as this space transforms itself into a small room.

Follow the domed ceiling as it arches above you.

And then allow the eyes to settle here upon a desk.

Walk over and find that laid upon this desk is everything you need to create.

Anything you can imagine is here.

Set your mug down on this desk and begin to work that best kind of work.

When it is something that you desperately want to do.

Observe as your project develops in leaps and bounds.

Immerse yourself in that state of creation where things are turning out just as you imagine them.

Take a step back here to review what you have done.

It may not be finished.

It may not be perfect.

But it is gloriously yours.

Decide here that you are done for the day.

Begin to leave this space pausing in the doorway.

To look back and reflect.

Leaving without trepidation because you know how to find your way back here.

As you step back out onto the beach,

Find that the sand is dry now beneath your toes.

The sun much higher in the sky has warmed this space.

There are people here now.

Some relaxing,

Some running,

All enjoying.

The waves have picked up.

The sun is glistening off of the ocean now.

Take your time winding your way back through this lively space.

Come back to where you began.

Give yourself one last long look out upon your beach.

And then give yourself permission here to take the creation that you have imagined and to manifest it in real life.

All that you have created in your cave,

All that you brought to life in your safe space,

You are allowed to do outside of your mind.

Give yourself a deep permission to create.
