We're going to take a trip here through the five layers of the body.
These are called the koshas.
They are each independent layers,
But one cannot exist without the others.
There is no hierarchy here.
Each part of us is equally important.
Begin here by settling in to the body.
Come to a comfortable posture.
Take a moment.
Allow all of your energy to come into your toes.
Squeeze them as tight as you can and then let them go.
Allow all of that energy to travel up into the legs.
Really wrap the muscles around the bones.
Give it what you've got today and then release it.
Letting that energy travel up into the hands,
Squeeze two fists.
Let them relax as tightly as you can and then let them go.
Last,
Take all of that energy up into your face.
Scrunch it up.
Make a crazy little prune face here.
And then allow that to melt away.
I will give you a mantra for each kosha that you can repeat or if something arrives to you,
Use that instead.
Trust that your energetic body will connect to you and will offer you what you need here.
Settling into the first kosha.
This is the physical structure of our body.
Start to feel into the muscles,
The bones.
This is what holds us up every day.
This is the body that offers comfort when it is needed.
Feel this body laying or sitting.
Feel its weight,
Its presence.
I am strong.
I am strong.
Leaving this part of the body behind to travel into the second kosha.
This is the electric layer of the body.
It is where blood pumps and synapses fire.
It is breath flowing in and out.
It is what animates us.
Feel into for a moment the blood pulsing in the fingertips.
The air as it glides in and out of the body.
I am vibrant.
I am vibrant.
Allow that buzz of the body to dissipate here as we travel into the third kosha.
This is the first layer of the mind.
It is where we organize and keep lists.
This is the part of the brain that we sometimes undervalue.
It is where we remember the steps to make coffee in the morning.
It is where we keep track of important dates.
This is the layer of our brain that allows us to function day to day.
We take it for granted.
Settle into that space here to its importance.
I am clear.
I am clear.
Releasing that space here,
We will move into the fourth kosha.
This is the second layer of the mind.
It is where the esoteric lives.
This is where we know joy and pain,
Anticipation and defeat.
This is the place where we imagine.
It is the space where we can comprehend that there is something outside of what we can see.
Someone with that expansion here.
I am truth.
I am truth.
Continuing that idea of expansion.
Allow yourself to continue to open outward here.
To visualize that space around the body.
The fifth kosha wraps itself around the other four.
Energetically traveling outward from the body and encasing the other layers.
This is that unknowable something that makes you you.
Really I am.
I am.
Take a moment here to travel back through the five layers of the body.
Pause in each one.
Settle into muscles and bones.
I am strong.
Settle into that electric hum,
I am vibrant.
Find that space in the mind that keeps track,
I am clear.
Listen to expand to imagination,
I am truth.
And finally wrap them all up,
I am.
Take a moment to identify which kosha resonated with you today.
Commit to offering it a little bit extra,
To feed that which is speaking to you.
Give it time.
Expand it.
Be in the part of your energetic body that is calling you.
