Let yourself settle into the surface beneath you.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly and release.
One more time,
Inhale deeply and let everything go.
Let your breath return to a natural rhythm.
There is nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to solve.
The day is complete.
You can let it go now.
Bring your awareness to your body,
Your feet softening completely,
Your legs releasing any tension,
Your hips heavy,
Supported,
Your stomach soft,
At ease,
Your chest rising and falling naturally,
Your shoulders dropping,
Letting go,
Your arms,
Your hands completely relaxed,
Your neck,
Your jaw,
Unclenched,
Your face,
Smooth,
At ease.
Your whole body is now relaxed.
Now gently repeat,
I allow myself to rest.
I release control.
Sleep will come naturally.
You don't need to force anything.
Your body already knows how to sleep.
Let your thoughts drift like clouds moving slowly across the sky.
You don't need to follow them.
Just let them pass.
If your mind becomes active,
Gently return to your breath.
Each inhale brings calm.

Your body is heavy.
