Close your eyes if you want and take a few conscious breaths.
Now see if you can feel the aliveness that is all over your entire body.
Can you feel your body from within?
Don't ask your mind if it can feel the body.
Go straight to the body and allow yourself to become aware of the subtle current of life energy that is animating you and in fact animating everything around you.
Bring your attention to your hands and notice that they are alive.
There is an aliveness in your fingers,
In your palms.
Can you feel it?
Move to your wrists,
Your forearms,
Your elbows.
Your upper arms.
Notice your shoulders,
Any sensation that may be present there.
Now move to your feet.
If you're sitting down,
Feel the pressure of the floor against the soles of your feet.
Give your attention to the aliveness in your toes and travel through the rest of your foot.
Up to your ankles,
Your calves,
Your knees,
Through the thighs,
Into your hips,
Up to your navel,
Through your chest.
You may be sensitive to the feeling of the air moving through your lungs and the blood pumping through your heart.
Just notice what that feels like.
Move through your neck,
Up to your face.
