Today,
We explore the heart,
The bridge between the physical and spiritual chakras.
The heart holds both our deepest pain and our greatest potential for love.
Take a moment to arrive.
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Let your hands rest softly,
Maybe one hand over your heart,
The other on your belly.
Gently close your eyes.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Now bring your awareness to the center of your chest,
Your heart space.
The home of anahata,
The heart chakra.
The place where love,
Compassion,
And emotional balance reside.
Take a few breaths here,
Breathing directly into your chest,
Feeling your ribcage expand while you inhale and falling back when you exhale.
Imagine the air flowing into your heart space,
Expanding it like a gentle breeze.
With each exhale,
Release any heaviness,
Any tension,
Any walls built from old pain.
Now,
Begin to visualize your heart space as a soft,
Green cocoon.
It feels warm and safe,
A sanctuary you have created to protect your tender heart.
Inside this cocoon rests the most delicate part of you,
The part that longs to love and be loved freely.
With every breath in,
The cocoon begins to glow brighter.
A gentle,
Luminous green light fills it from within.
You can feel the warmth of this light spreading through your chest,
Softening every layer of protection.
Slowly,
The cocoon starts to open,
Unfolding with grace.
And from its center,
A green butterfly emerges,
Radiant,
Light,
And full of life and love.
Its wings unfold,
Shimmering in shades of emerald and gold.
As it spreads its wings,
Feel your own heart expand.
Let that expansion move through your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your entire body.
You're opening to love,
To yourself,
To others,
To life itself.
Rest for a few breaths in this feeling of openness and warmth.
Let your heart breathe.
Let your love move freely.
Now,
Softly repeat to yourself,
Either out loud or in your mind,
I am open to giving and receiving love.
I forgive myself and others.
I live in harmony with all beings.
My heart expands with compassion and trust.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine the butterfly gently landing in the center of your chest.
Its wings folding peacefully,
Glowing softly.
It is now a part of you,
A reminder that even what once felt fragile can become a symbol of strength and beauty.
Stay here for a few more breaths,
Feeling your chest rise and fall,
Feeling the air move gently through the space of your heart.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Notice the ground beneath you,
The air around you,
And the steady rhythm of your breath.
Softly wiggle your fingers and toes,
Maybe place your hands together in front of your heart.
Take one final deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Whisper a quiet thank you to your heart.
You are love.
You are safe.
You are open.
You are free.
