This meditation is called the Approval of Detox.
Today we'll release the need to be validated or understood by others.
Settle into stillness.
Take a slow cleansing breath.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Letting go.
Imagine holding a basket in your hands.
In the basket,
You'll find a box.
Inside it are all the moments you sought approval.
Times you said yes when you wanted to say no.
Times you changed yourself to be liked.
With compassion,
Thank these experiences for what they taught you.
Now,
Visualize placing the basket into a river.
Watch as it floats away.
Carried downstream,
Dissolving until it's gone.
Repeat silently,
I release the need for approval.
I validate myself.

Feel the lightness in your body,
Now that you are no longer carrying this weight.
Sense the freedom of living by your own truth.
Take a breath of gratitude for your sovereignty.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
