Take a moment to arrive in whatever position you're in,
There is nothing you need to change or improve right now.
Just noticing that you're here and that you've chosen to pause.
You might notice your body,
Your breath or simply the feeling of being supported where you are.
There is no right way to do this.
If your mind wanders or you feel distracted,
That's completely normal.
You can simply listen and rest as you are.
Begin by gently noticing the weight of your body,
Where you're supported,
By the floor,
The chair or the surface beneath you.
You don't need to scan or search,
Just letting your awareness rest wherever it naturally goes.
If your mind is busy,
That's okay.
If it feels quiet,
That is okay too.
We're not trying to arrive at confidence,
We're allowing the nervous system to soften,
So confidence doesn't need to be forced.
Just simply noticing any small sense of settling or even the absence of effort.
At some point,
You might notice thoughts of uncertainty,
Second guessing or a sense of not being enough in some way.
If that happens,
See if you can notice it without needing to fix it.
Doubt doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong,
It may simply be something passing through.
Rather than pushing it away,
You might simply notice it and allow it to be there for a moment.
And then gently returning your attention to your body,
Or if it feels easier,
Allow your mind to wander for a moment.
There is no need to hold your focus tightly here.
Confidence in this practice isn't something you create,
It's what remains when the nervous system isn't bracing or trying to prove anything.
It's something that is already here,
When there is a little less pressure.
You might notice moments of steadiness,
Perhaps neutrality or even just a little less effort.
Even a small softening counts.
If your attention drifts,
That is completely okay.
Each time you notice,
You're already back.
Just resting here for a few more breaths.
As this practice comes to an end,
There is nothing you need to hold onto.
Just noticing how it feels to have paused,
Even briefly,
Without needing to perform or prove anything.
When you're ready,
You can gently transition back into your day,
Carrying whatever sense of ease is available right now.
Thank you.
