Welcome friends to this body relaxation meditation.
For the strawberry full moon.
The strawberry moon appears at a time of year that Native Americans associated with the ripening and harvesting of strawberries.
And so we also pause at this moment.
To celebrate our own abundance.
With gratitude.
Reconnect with our intentions.
And make space for new opportunities to arise.
So I invite you to lie down on a mat.
Or your bed.
Extending your legs long.
And letting the arms rest beside you.
Or if you prefer,
Take a comfortable seat.
And let your hands gently rest in your lap.
Take a slow breath.
Deep breath in.
And gently let it go.
And let's do one more.
Breathe in deeply.
And maybe this time,
Sigh it out.
And as you do,
Close your eyes.
Or gently lower your gaze.
Now take a moment.
To notice the natural rhythm.
Of your breath.
In your mind's eye.
Envision standing at the edge of a garden.
Under the light of a full moon.
As you gaze across the garden.
You see multiple rows of strawberries waiting to be harvested.
A warm,
Gentle breeze brings the smell of ripened strawberries.
Up in the distance.
You see a gazebo.
And begin to walk toward it through the rows of strawberries.
Each step.
Making you feel more and more relaxed.
As you gently Reach down and pick a strawberry.
You feel your hands and fingers relax.
Your wrists and elbows soften.
Your arms relax.
And your shoulders melt away from your ears.
Any tension you've been carrying.
Begins to dissolve into the warm night air.
You continue walking slowly through the moonlit rose.
Feeling the earth beneath your feet.
Perhaps you bite into the berry.
And your jaw relaxes.
Your mouth and tongue soften.
Your cheeks relax.
Your eyes feel heavy and your forehead smooths.
You notice the air flowing in through your nose.
And the warmth.
As it leaves.
With every step.
A sense of ease.
Spreads throughout.
Your upper body.
Notice the silver light of the strawberry moon.
Shining down upon the garden.
Its glow touches the tops of the strawberry plants.
Illuminating each berry.
With a gentle radiance.
As the moonlight washes over you.
Feel your chest.
And heart space soften.
Allow yourself to feel gratitude for all that you've cultivated in your life.
The lessons learned.
The challenges overcome,
The moments of joy.
And the growth that may have gone unnoticed.
As you arrive at the gazebo.
You notice a comfortable seat waiting for you in the center.
You step inside and settle down.
The wooden structure is wrapped with flowering vines and the scent of strawberries mingles with the fragrance of the blossoms carried on the breeze.
As you rest here.
Your awareness moves down through your body.
Feel your upper back relaxing.
Then your middle back.
And finally,
Your lower back.
Any tightness unwinds and releases.
Your abdomen softens.
And you watch it rise and fall.
Your breath flowing naturally.
And without effort.
Now.
Let your hips relax.
Feel your thighs become heavy and comfortable.
Your knees soften.
Your calves release.
And your ankles loosen.
Your feet begin to grow warm and relaxed.
All the way to the tips of your toes.
In front of you rests a woven basket.
You notice that it contains strawberries of many sizes and colors.
Each strawberry.
Represents something in your life that is ripened and become available to you.
Friendship.
A skill.
And opportunity.
A lesson.
Or perhaps simply the strength.
That carried you through difficult times.
Take a moment now to silently reflect on.
One thing.
You're grateful for.
And imagine placing that gratitude into the basket.
Allowing it to glow softly.
Beneath the moonlight.
Now imagine.
Looking out from the gazebo toward the rows of strawberries still growing in the garden.
Some berries are deep red and fully ripe.
While others need more time.
Reminding us that.
Growth rarely appears all at once.
Without needing to know exactly how.
Or when they'll ripen.
Simply trust the growth.
Is taking place beneath the surface.
Trust that what is meant for you is developing in its own perfect season.
Beneath the glow of the strawberry moon.
Silently offer one intention.
For the weeks ahead.
It may be a wish.
A goal.
The quality you wish to cultivate.
Or maybe your intention could be.
.
.
To simply be open.
To whatever opportunities arise.
Imagine placing that intention gently into the soil of the garden.
The moonlight will nourish it.
The Earth.
We'll support it.
There's nothing more you need to do right now.
Take slow.
Deep breath in.
.
.
And gently breathe out.
Feel yourself resting,
Relaxed.
Completely supported.
Completely.
At ease for the next few moments.
Rest here in the peaceful moonlit garden.
Surrounded by abundance,
Gratitude.
And possibility.
Friends.
When you're ready.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Bring gentle movement back into your body.
Take one final breath.
Beneath the light of the strawberry moon.
Carrying with you a sense of gratitude for what has ripened.
Patience for what is still growing.
And trust.
In the abundance that surround you.
And when you feel ready.
Softly open your eyes.
And return to the space around you.
Namaste.
