Take a few moments and simply bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice how you are inhaling and exhaling each breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your belly with each breath.

Now imagine a tranquil lake.
Its surface is calm.
The water is so clear it's reflecting in the sky.
It's a mirror of peace.
Now picture yourself by the water's edge,
The sun gently warming.
As you sit down by the water's edge,
Feel the earth beneath you,
Supportive and strong,
Like a love that's true.
As you gaze at the water,
So still and serene.
Notice your reflection and with each passing breath,
Your image is clear as the lake mirrors you.
So still,
So serene.
Let your worries and thoughts gently drift away like leaves on the water.
Feel the weight lift,
Your burdens release,
Fully embracing these few moments of inner peace.
Now turn your attention to the sky above.
Notice the clouds drift by like those worries and thoughts for you to dispose of.
Watch them float by with no need to follow them.
Just be in this moment,
So still and so serene.
And as you sit by the lake,
So calm and wide,
Allow your heart to open up.
Let love be your guide.
Feel its warmth spreading like rays from the sun,
A love that's within you,
For you.
Let this guided meditation,
Like poetry,
Flow and in its soothing embrace,
Allow your soul to glow.
Let your heart be your guide.
Know this lake of calm is always near,
Right inside of you,
Ready for you to visit whenever you'd like,
To aid you in rediscovering your true self,
Full of love and peace,
In the most gentle way.
When you're ready,
Slowly begin to awaken your senses,
Bringing this meditation to a close.
