Are you.
.
.
Are you just so shocked at the news?
Are you just trying to get your footing?
It doesn't feel like you're standing on solid ground.
It feels like the rock that you know,
The rock of Jesus,
Just came crumbling down.
Are you scared?
These emotions are normal and it's okay,
But you will not stay here.
This is not your reality forever.
This is a moment in time and God will bring you out of this.
Close your eyes and imagine for a moment.
Standing on that solid rock,
Standing on that solid rock,
You can have your eyes open or closed in your imagination.
Do you have your eyes open on the rock?
Do you have your eyes closed?
Take a deep breath and feel the warmth,
The energy coming from that rock,
From that firm foundation.
Hold your arms out and you see all your loved ones surrounding you in a circle.
They're all holding hands,
United in their feelings of goodness and hope and faith.
They look towards you as your hands are held open,
Ready to receive.
And in unison,
All of your friends and family have the same thought that you will be restored completely to health,
Completely to wellness and health and rejuvenation.
And you feel this energy emanating from them.
You feel it slowly building you up into a place of peace and hope.
And even more than that,
You feel the warmth of Jesus surrounding you and you feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit and even though you have unknowns ahead of you,
The truth that you will have support from your loved ones and God will carry you through.
So allow them to allow your weakness and allow their strength in your weakness.
Allow God's strength in your weakness.
It's okay.
It's okay to admit that right now it's hard.
It will get better and you will help someone else with that same weakness when you are strong.
Don't give up.
It's just as simple as that.
Don't give up and don't quit.
I pray peace over your body,
Peace over your heart,
Peace over your mind.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
