This is the third in a new series of shorter mindfulness meditations that are meant to give the listener a break from their day-to-day routine, especially during stressful situations. Each of these short meditations is anywhere from 5-10 minutes long and provides you a short respite from anxiety, stress, and pressures. I sincerely hope you enjoy them.

Hello,

My name is Bill and welcome to your 5-minute meditation.

Each 5-minute meditation is designed for people who just need a quick reset during their day to focus on themselves,

Take a breather and relax.

This 5-minute meditation is all about positivity,

A practice that you can use anytime,

Anywhere,

Anywhere,

To help you assuage doubts and ground you in the moment,

So you can become more balanced and happy throughout your day.

Before we begin,

Remind yourself that this time is for you and you alone.

Allow no distractions,

No worries,

And no to-do list to interfere with your time.

Now,

Take a moment to make yourself comfortable wherever you are.

Maybe straighten your back or trace gentle circles with your nose,

Relaxing your neck.

Once you've reached a place of stillness,

Close your eyes and begin to deepen and become more deliberate with your breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Breathe in and out slowly.

Good.

Let each breath transport you away from your anxiety and stress to a place where you can relax like the beach.

As you walk along this beautiful beach with the sunlight gently warming your face and the soft sands cradling your feet as you walk,

You come across a small boat resting on the shore.

This beach is exactly what you've been needing to get away from all of the negative thoughts and feelings you have and you don't want to leave it.

So you place all of those bad thoughts,

Fears,

And worries inside this small boat.

Why?

Because there is no time for them here.

This is your time.

Once you have packed all these negative things inside this small boat,

You push it away from the shore and into the water.

The waves begin to carry this boat away from you and with each breath and passing moment,

The boat gets further and further away from you.

And in no time at all,

You have watched all your cares and worries float away out of sight into the great big ocean.

You then take a seat on the shore listening to the waves as they gently crash against the rocks and sand around you.

Just then you hear a voice in the distance telling you,

Today I am happy.

Today I am capable.

Today I am worthy.

As you keep listening to the sounds of beautiful waves crashing,

You also hear this voice loop over and over in your head becoming more pronounced each and every time.

Today I am happy.

Today I am capable.

Today I am worthy.

As the voice continues speaking,

You watch the waves that carried your troubles out to sea begin to settle.

The great ocean before you becomes still and clear.

Today I am happy.

Today I am capable.

Today I am worthy.

Slowly,

Without turning,

Your eyes still on the clear still waters,

You realize that the voice you're hearing is coming from within you.

And with that realization,

You open your mouth and speak out loud in tandem with the voice.

Today I am happy.

Today I am capable.

Today I am worthy.

Remember taking just a few minutes to recharge yourself is something you deserve to do for yourself,

Especially when the weight of the world seems particularly heavy.

You can and should congratulate yourself for taking care of the most important person in your life,

You,

And taking all those negative thoughts and turning them into power and freedom and positivity.

Remember wherever you are,

You are amazing and worthy of being free from negativity and you are never alone.
