There are times in everyone's spiritual journey when we feel an absence of or silence from God. Wherever the reason, it is easy to forget that God is being itself (see Paul Tillich). If God is inherent in all things, then we cannot ever really be absent from God. In this passage, we are reminded by St. Paul that there is nothing that can separate us from God, the essence of Love itself. May this reflection on this passage bring you peace that despite what seems to be, God/Love is always there.
